Back on August 18, 2007 I attended a presentation given by representatives of Global Explorers LLC. During the presentation it was stated by the spokesman that we would get great discounts on travel packages, vacations, hotels, air fares from the US to anywhere in the world. I agreed to sign up to become a member. To do so I paid $4,044.00 of my hard earned money. I thought it was a good deal as my wife and I usually take one to two weeks vacation every year. The thing that quite caught my attention was that most of the paperwork that I signed had the heading of "World Adventures By Integra". I even receive a binder with with a copy of the contract. In the World Adventures Purchaser's Affidavit V.I.P. Membership says as follows: "The undersigned hereby excecutes this document in connection with the undersigned's purchase of a travel club membership in World Adventures". In the binder there is also a card included with a nice picture in the front and the name "World Adventures by integra and also their website 'worldadventuresbyintegra.com'. In the back of the card is my member ID and password. Also a phone number to CS. Today --6 months later- after having been dupped I try to purchase air fair to Puerto Plata DR. I accessed WABI's website and noticed that the price was no different than PriceLine or Orbit and other competitive websites. So I called Customer Svc and asked if I was missing something. They told me they don't give discounts on air fares. I explained that it must be a mistake as I was promised by Global Explorers that I would.

They told me that Global explorers went out of business. They also suggested that I could contact my financial institution and open a case with them. As well I was told that I could contact the Attorney General to further investigate. This response was seemed very strange to me as I did not inquire about it. So in sight of the facts I begin to ask questions. They told me that the only relationship they had with Global Explorers LLC was based on the fact that Global Explorers would buy packages from World Adventures by Integra and then sell them to individuals. I asked WABI if I would try to become a member with them without Global Explorer being in the middle and I was told that it was not possible. But somehow World Aventures by Integra must have had a strong relationship with Global Explorers LLC as everything points to WABI. There are in fact many inconsistencies here that lead me to believe that I was scammed out of my $4,044.00. And just like I was I bet that hundreds if not thousands of other innocent bystanders were as well scammed out of their hard earned money. As a consumer I firmly believe that this company should be investigated to the fullest extend. I tried contacting Global and they have dissapeared. When I purchased the package the guy that gave the presentation gave me his cell phone number 941-487-3668. This number has also been disconected. The whole thing is extremelly fishy.

I believe that there is strength in unity. My question: Is anybody out there who has been scammed by this company that would like to pursue an investigation? Please feel free to contact me.
