I bought an extended warranty through premier warranty group thinking that it will save me money in repairs to my van until I actually needed to use the warranty.

My transmission was slipping in my van and making a really horrible noise so I took it to a transmission specialty shop, (it was towed which is supposed to be covered) but not reimburrsed for.

The lady that I spoke to said that they needed the tranny torn down, which the dealer did. When the repaiman gave them the estimate of what was wrong with the tranny he said that the pump on the tranny was broke and did major damage to ineternal parts. Nothing was stated that it was worn out.

A couple of days after the company recieved all of the required documents they informed me that they will not cover anything because the pump was worn out and I did not buy the wear and tear coverage. Mind you, nothing was stated in the repair estimate about the pump being worn out just that it was broken.

My husband was furious and called the company and asked them if the pump was covered under my warranty(gold coverage). The gentleman said it was and we asked why it's not getting repaired. There response is that is was worn out. When asked what the warranty did coverage the gentleman was at a loss for words and the phone was hung up on us. Really good warranty dealer? NO

Premier Warranty Group Just Followed Customer's Contract Provisions

AUTHOR: Donald - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 13, 2004

Let the truth be known . . .Premier Warranty Group is just criticized by a disgruntled customer because they followed their contract provisions.

The truth is that Judith Baddeley did not tell everything in her rip-off complaint. Her claim for repairs was denied due the the diagnoisis of the mechaniic of her choice saying, in a recorded conversation that the cause of failure to her transmission pump was due to "old age", which in automotive language is just normal wear and tear over time.

Based on the contract provisons of Judith Baddeley's extened warranty contract (since she did not purchase the normal wear and tear rider - that was offered to her three times) her claim was denied. Additionally, based on her contract she was to service her transmission - which she did not, so it could be denied for that also. She also mentioned that her towing should have been covered but that is not true either because her claim was not covered.

So, unfortunately in this case it looks like Judith Baddeley purchased a good warranty but she failed to buy all the needed coverage that most of our smart customers buy and since she didn't service her vehicle properly she again wants to blame us. Is this really fair to our Warranty Company when we just followed her contract?
