C.R.C. Debbie Peti WCP ripoff SCAM telemarketing Clearwater Florida

Thank goodness for the Internet! Today I received one of those lovely cards "We are trying to reach you with good news!" And being the HONEST person I am I almost fell for it until a hunch made me go on-line to see what I could dig up on this little postcard.

Of course, I found this site showing that this is indeed a scam. These scam artists have more than one address and are located in more than one state. BEWARE! Mine was personalized with my first name and then "We are trying to reach you with Good News! It is real important that you call Toll free 1-800-745-5757 Thanks, Debbie Peti Call 10am to 9pm EST Monday thru Friday". On the opposite side was their mailing address as

All I got was a busy signal then on the second try a recording about this supposed sweeps and then someone trying to sell me stuff. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!!! I won a real sweeps last year through a valid and well known company. When I was notified, it was by FedEx in an overnight package complete with legal documents and also by a phone call from them. They were very professional and answered ALL questions and fully understood my anxiety over giving personal info.

The only thing you should have to fill out is an affidavit and a 1099 form for the IRS. The company which offers you the prize will never ask you for a dime, the most that they would tell you is that you have to pay for your food, drinks or travel to and from the airport (ex. taxi, rental car). So, please everyone, continue to share your experiences because this alerts everyone who might become a victim to all scams out there. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!!
