A scam dating service known as "Social Texas" exists in the city of Austin, Texas. Their primary means of advertisement is through mass mailings.

Do not be fooled, as this is not a true dating service. The owner has used his employees to do a quick sale and then he fires them and bails out after he gets your money. Mainly, what has happened is the business seems to have gone under and has it's phone lines disconnected. This individual probably operates other scam businesses in the area.

The $6,000 package known as the "Lone Star" package I signed up for gave the user a minimum of 2 introductions and a maximum of 4 per month. After using the service for 8 months, only 2 introductions (where they give you their phone number) were made. This only was delivered after massive bitching after months of inactivity had passed! The first didn't occur until 5 months after starting it.

After complaining to the owner Gilbert (Gilly) Vallejo about the slowness, his response was that I needed to be patient and be their friend before I could become interested at all in a lady. This is not dating. I did not agree with what his definition of dating was, so he eventually cancelled my membership without any refund and said I was looking for an escort service because I was looking for at least a somewhat attractive woman!! He said my rules were too strict because I wanted a physically attractive woman. His all or nothing thinking translated it into a request for a playmate centerfold!
If he would have offered a "sub par" choice, I would have gladly made a decision to accept an introduction, and I told him that. This however, did not occur.

He used my shortcomings as a reason for cancellation and to not have to do the job. The other reason was the reaction from the first date, to say that I "harrassed" her (like a psycho would) because I called her too many times on one day. He then used my growing impatience as a reason to kick me out rather than help the individual quickly (reason one uses a dating service) and get back on the right track.

That seems to be the tactic, to exaggerate your shortcomings to become threatening so as to cancel your membership. One other tactic is to not send you anything in writing which depicts the package that you signed up for. The reason is they know the operate a BS business and they cannot honor what they sell. They will allow a fair amount of time to pass so that you will not remember the specifics of what you had signed up for.

To all user's in the Austin area, beware of this dating service or whatever name is used by the owner "Gilbert (Gilly) Vallejo" or his goons. Do not be fooled by his convincing reassurrences that he is legit and that other dating services out there are scams. A scam artist has no conscience. Austinites, you have been warned.

Do not be fooled by the "ex-employee" who defends Gilly

AUTHOR: Justin - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 11, 2003

To those who have responded in support of Mr. Vallejo.

What you sign up for in this service and what you get are two different things.

If you ever make to wrong decision to come into contact with this service or Mr. Vallejo, be sure you get what you want in WRITING, especially the details of the package. What they try to explain to you in their sales pitch and what you really will be getting after they get YOUR money are two VERY different entities. Mr. Vallejo has to share his energy doing with 3 other so-called businesses. That is hard work, another reason not to join this service.

They rely on your abilities to not retain details of what you are getting into, namely the definition of introductions, and how many you will be receiving. They will give you the bogus reason of trying to hide from so-called "competition", yet another BS in their array of lies. When they get cornered, they will always blame you , THE PAYING customer for their problems.

When you try to get a written description of what I had signed up for -- that is where you will the real Mr. Vallejo at work. He will evade you and try to emotionally manipulate you at every attempt.

Do not be fooled by their efforts to hide his true intentions.
THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY.

"Gilly" has broken the law, and has NO respect for the law!

AUTHOR: Annony - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 11, 2003

It's great to see such people willing to stand up and proudly reveal such little or NO character they truly have. First off, "Gilly" has broken the law, and has NO respect for the law! If you don't know anything about it, or know but don't wish to reveal that fact about him, then I suggest you rethink standing up for this individual.

Secondly, his "hard work" and "long hours" are strictly for his own gain!! The more hours he puts into making appointments over the phone and sticking around to conduct the interviews, the better chance he has at making at least $25,000 each WEEK. Who on earth can possibly say they make that kind of cash, besides movie stars and the top brokers in the world?? Police oficers can't. Firefighters can't.

Most dotors who put in 80 hours a week caring for and saving the lives of patients such as yourself can't even say that. The military risking their life for your sick freedom at this very moment can't. The LAST people on earth that should make that kind of dough are scam-artist sales types! PUH-LEEEEEASE don't make this unadulterated need for greed out to be some sort of charity he's releasing to the dear public!

When you can truthfully say "Mr. Vallejo" put in 86 hours a week volunteering at 'Habitat for Humanity' or at homeless shelters, you'll have a case. Otherwise, be quiet! All scam artists get discovered eventually, whether it be in the first year they try, or 30 years later. Gilly has quite the track record, and it appears it's about to catch up with him. I'm POSITIVE that you're the type that would feel uncomfortable around authority or law, so thanks for defending him on some web site.

As for whether or not you have the character to appear in court on his behalf once he's caught, is an entirely different matter, isn't it? Much like how dating services promote themselves versus how they are truly run! Shame on all of you who still brag about the money you made working for this man.

If I were, I'd watch your own back. There may be a police officer headed your way! P.S. (as for your characterization of Gilly, being an arrogant, confrontational, selfish a*****e and being "assertive" are TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THINGS!!!

Won't your mind be blown the moment you work for a ligit company with a manager or owner who actually has business and people skills!) P.S.S. Ironically, the phone lines to "Social Texas" currently aren't working. Imagine THAT!

Employees in the industry "WE SUPPORT YOU GILLY"

AUTHOR: Lisa - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, March 10, 2003

I worked in the dating industry for 3 and one half years. I am sitting here at my computer with other dating industry employees. We are all very close and have gone through the BS that exemployees or unsatisfied clients have put us through.

My colleagues and I have worked the long hours, we have been put through our "paces", and granted we have had our share of problems with unsatisfied clients and disgruntled employees. We have learned a few things about our clients, and that is "you are never really satisfied until you have met that someone special" and we understand that. Our comment we would like to make to "Justin" or "Dustin". (Gilly Vallejo), I can gaurantee that he has bent over backwards for you. Gilly has made it openly known that you have to give up your life for the clients. Now Mr "Justin" or "Dustin" whatever your name is, Because you have'nt met that somebody special, don't take it out on someone who probably has gone to the extremes to match you. I am sure he has made and will make every attempt to put you in the relationship you are looking for.

Myself and other employees have worked with Gilly and we know that he is a very hard working and passionate person, and that is why we are writing this. He has taught us alot and we are here to make sure that all of his help is not gone unseen. WE SUPPORT YOU GILLY

Employees and Expmloyees
UNITE TO SUPPORT GILLY VALLEJO
Thank you and Good luck to you

He has given up his life, working 86 hours weekly

AUTHOR: Lisa - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 09, 2003

Mr Vallejo has been a hard working individual, in the "lonely hearts" dept. He has given up his life, working 86 hours weekly.(minimum)
I am no longer in the business but i can assure that Mr Vallejo has made me alot of money and im sure the person who lashed out in this report made alot of money also. And in the process helped alot of lonely people out there meet and fall in love and marry, and have children.

In this business it is difficult to be a client, you want to see success, you want results, but you want this in a matter of days, weeks or even months. You want results that you, your self have never seen in your dating life, ( 5 yrs, 10yrs, 15 yrs, 20 yrs, etc..)

It is hard out there trying to find that special someone, but for once think about how hard it may be to be the person matching you. I have read a few of these "scam reports" and most of them are by Ex employees who have a "bone to pick" But just like every company in the world you are going to have some digruntled employees. As for the clients that are upset, because they have not meet that someone special, remember your asking for results, but in the same breathe your lashing out, at people who are trying to help you.
You can't give up!

One last thing, As for Mr Vallejo, he is a hard person to work for, and that isnt a surprise. he is very demanding and very assertive, he has given his all, and has helped alot of employees along the way. I respectfully thank you Mr. Vallejo for every thing you have done for me.
I am sure that your exemployers and other employees fell the same way.

Good luck to you Gilly

evidence from Phoenix,AZ against Gilly Vallejo

AUTHOR: Dustin - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 09, 2003

To Anthony and all others,

Any specific complaints should be filed as a Rip-off Report here so that they may be presented by me in a court of law. These comments are greatly appreciated and will help stop the scam artist from popping up again here or in other cities with new scam businesses. He already has 3 suspected scams here in Austin. I will print them all out and use them to show that he has a history of fraudulent activity in Phoenix to many other people.

Good Ol' "Gilly"!!! ..I was wondering what happened to him! He is a HORRIBLE excuse for a human being!

AUTHOR: Annony - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, March 08, 2003

PLEASE READ the previous report filed titled "Together Dating, Great Expectations, The Right One, New Beginnings"...it's mine, and I think you'll find it useful.

Gilbert "Gilly" Vallejo used to be employed by Together Dating out of Texas, then decided he needed to bite into the industry on his own...so he took some fellow Together employees, AND all of Together's sleezy tactics and policies, and moved them all to Phoenix, Arizona where he began "New Beginnings" (ironic name, eh?). He of course couldn't handle it, as the complaints against the company began to pile up, and his net income went down. SO he bailed by selling it off to one of his "bitches", Melanie "Mel" Graybill(notice all the cute nicknames...doesn't make them seem like Satan that way I guess). Now I see where he skunked off to by this report...AUSTIN. He's been working the lonley-hearts industry as a blood-sucker both as an employee and an owner for years, and he has contacts all over the south, so WATCH OUT! I GUARANTEE another scam and "Gilly" are sure to pop back up out of the water if his latest endevour in Austin sinks!
