Gordon Moss ~ The world's greatest network marketer.
Beware. I was a victim of this scheme. I was called by a woman I will call Nancy. She said she found my biz-opp website and invited me to a free mentoring call. Because I am always looking for insight into marketing more effectively, I agreed to get on the call.
I got on the call. It lasted for over four hours, and there was no mentoring involved, no helpful information. It ended up being a call where people announced the program they were in and either Mr. Moss or one of his lieutants brow beat people about their program and told them it wouldn't work because he, Gordon Moss, had designed that particular program and it had been designed to fail.
If you wanted to be successful working from home, you needed to join his team. Cost to start was $515. Broken down it was $400 for 1000 business cards, special made, paper, etc and a website for $115.00.
I did not buy in the first night from the invitation call from Nancy; however, one of Gordon Moss's lieutenants kept calling me. Her name was Jacinto. She kept calling and calling. Every time she called, I asked more questions. One of the most important questions I can state to anyone reading this was where can I get a copy of the written Terms and Conditions. Jacinto told me There is nothing written. As Gordon always says, every thing is subject to change. IF you are looking for a viable home-based income, you better learn quickly, if they cannot write something down, you better be running.
At any rate, after many calls from Jacinto, I DID buy in for $515.00. During that conversation, I asked her about training. Yes they had training. I asked her if the teams made group calls to invitees'. She hesitated and then said yes' that was possible.
I was then invited to the training' call. It was about 15-20 minutes of ideas of how to get people to the calls, a spotty report on ad-words scattered over a 4 hour call by select people, the web designer, and a couple of other people. The rest of the time was spent explaining the details of how you could only buy cards from Gordon once and then would have to purchase additional sets from Malaysia, taking about six weeks.
You were told you weren't going to make real money if you weren't a lieutenant. To a be lieutenant, you had to invest $9600 in card stock and an additional $5000 in Gordon's personal training. You were also told that Gordon would not disclose over the phone, but in a private call, how to send him his money as he did not accept paypal or normal ways of transferring money.
I hung up before the end of the call because 4 hours of constant bombardment on others telling them they are stupid if they don't spend that $15,000 was enough for me. A few days later I received a call from Gordon telling me that I needed to be with' him. I later found out that he also had two of his lieutenants on the call also. About a week later, I checked to see if the website I had paid for was up and running yet and it was not.
I had paid my fee to Jacinta's paypal account, so filed a complaint with paypal. Then I got another call from Gordon. He had me go to WHOIS and verify that the website address had been registered, which was my complaint. After verification, and the statement that the site should be up and working within days, I cancelled the complaint with paypal. I should have waited, because after 3 months, the website is still not up.
During the call, Gordon assured me he would take me off his list. Well, I got a call a few weeks ago with his harassing me to join him again. When I tried to explain how deceitful his whole business was, his denial and hard sell, I hung up. Hopefully, I will have no further harassment from this man.
I would suggest to all that if you are looking for a home based opportunity and the only method of payment is to someone's personal paypal account ~~~ DON'T DO IT! If there is not a legitimate means of paying for something or paying to a company ~~~ DON'T DO IT! If it sounds too good to be true and the people selling you on their program insist that you buy in now, that is called fear of loss' tactics. ~~~ DON'T DO IT! If you get invited to one of these calls to hear the world's Greatest Network Marketer do a mentoring call ~~~ DON'T DO IT!
If you have a minimum of $515 to blow, just go ahead and flush it down the toilet; otherwise, just hang on to your hard earned cash, don't go over your credit card limit and find a legitimate online business.. not with a group that can't even put anything in writing.

It December 2007 and doesn't really matter that I would NEVER do business with this guy again, but I paid $115 for a website that STILL does not exist. I really wish someone would put this man out of business, but I doubt that since he is pretty slippery. I am sure there are others who have been ripped off, they just don't know to report it.
~good luck to anyone getting tangled up in this mess.

I forgot to mention originally that even though Gordon says you must order additional cards from over seas, the truth actually is that you still order from him. How he states it when pushed is that he has to hold his current orders for new people. Those who don't buy enough to start with have to wait while he orders. In truth, I suspect there is not a long wait, just another 'fear of loss' tactic to get someone to buy $9600 worth up front.
Another thing I wanted to add. All that training and those group calls ~ well, that is only availble for the ones purchasing his $5000 training.
