Do Not Use Pioneer Telephone. You will not save money and it will cost you 20 times the amount you think you are savings.

1.Had an account with company. They billed my credit card monthly.
2.They did not bill my credit card, I sent them a check.
3.Shows the bill due states my credit card will be billed. Do not remit payment. The same bill also states (page one) past due.
4.sent payment anyway for balance due of 38.88
5.post marked 07/09/03 the envelope was returned on 11-25-03 "returned for better address".
6.Received collections notice for an amount way over above what I owed. $144.00
7.sent letter certified to the collection agency along with letter and a check for 38.88. They ignored me.
8.I have now sent letters to the atty general in California and Maine, letter to the VP of Pioneer Telephone (also the foundert) and CA Utilities commission and Main Utilities commission.

I made every attempt to resolve this issue they were very unreasonable and billed me for monies I do not owe. I do not have any signed agreements with this company I was told it was month to month.

I will keep this site update with the responses for the other organization I wrote letters to.

Response to Pioneer Telephone Report

AUTHOR: Kevin - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 15, 2007

I am the Regulatory Manager for Pioneer Telephone and handled this customer's complaint when it was made in March of 2006.

The credit card that was registered with Pioneer was declined, and we did not have a good e-mail address on file for notification, so this customer was removed from the auto-pay system and started receiving a paper bill. We are unsure why her subsequent payment was returned because of a bad address, our corporate office has remained the same since 2002. A follow-up phone call to one of our representatives back in 2003 would have resolved this situation. Instead, the account went to collections.

Once Pioneer was made aware of the problem, we waived the collections charges and accepted final payment from this customer in March of 2006. Her account was closed and any negative information was removed from her credit report.
