My name is shanel Brower. I am a 25 yr. old single mother who recently recieved a bogus letter in the mail from lvaap. The letter stated that i had won a total of 3,341,006.00. Of course upon opening the letter I was very excited because now I could really live the life that i dreamed of having and provide a better way of living for my 2 children. So on 8/3/05 I was able to borrow the requested 20.00 that the letter stated i needed to have for the fees and dropped the letter in the mail.

So today 8/4/05 I came to my mothers house to use her computer to see if hte company had a web site. little to my surprise did the most horrible thing that i so badly hoped was not true. It was all a scam!!!!!!!!!

I read the reports that had been written by other people and began to cry. All of my dreams had been shattered right in front of my face. I think that this company needs to be shut down and the operators of the company need to locked up. It is not fair that these people take advantage of hard working people who are just looking for an opportunity to have a better way of life by dangling money (which is so badly needed these days) right in front of your face and then snatch it away just like that. I was very hurt by this company and I want them to pay.

Slickly designed and worded letter crosses the line!

AUTHOR: Kathryn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 09, 2006

My husband just received the same letter as posted from Shirley of Concord, my husband is receiving "congratulations" for being No. 1 - whatever that means ($3,341,006.00), the other three names (No.2 Pauline Teasley$10,501,609.00, No.3 James Gardmer$4,545,708.00, No. 4 Sandra Grant$4,635,652,00) are different.

It is so creepy to read, "YOU ARE SWORN TO SECRECY ABSOLUTELY CONFIDENTIAL,... RESTRICTIVE - TELL NOBODY". It's like that deposit fraud letter from Africa saying they need you to put unclaimed millions in your bank account and they'll let you keep 10% (and please keep it a secret). I've sent a few of those to the US Secret Service.

It really bothers me how urgently LVAAP pushes this on you; "of utmost priority" is mentioned twice. And did you catch their disclaimer as their wiggle room out; .. "not liable for errors, ommissions,or inacuracies,..." ?

And what kind of wording is: "Reported Confirmed Prize Re Drawn Prized Name:.." with my husband's name following? "Re" must mean "Regarding," (because I first read it as redrawn).

Has anyone sent the money and received the information on sweepstakes they mentioned in the fine print? In my opinion, the design and wording of this particular letter crosses the line from freedom of speech to evil. I'm sending a copy to my senator. This letter is even more slick and deceitful than Sweepstakes Clearinghouse's scammish notification.

Scam Shams Just Keep Turning Up

AUTHOR: Dawn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 08, 2005

It is sad to see that these companies are allowed to breathe air. Their promises are empty and they just keep finding new victims so your pockets will be just as empty. I wish I had the money to put billboards up and they will say IF SOMEONE IS GIVING YOU FUNDS (LOAN, GRANT OR SO CALLED WINNINGS) YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY A DIME!!! I think people need to learn to educate themselves before we get all excited about that pot of gold thats really nothing but a lump of coal. I am considering writing up some articles and looking for someone to publish them. Rip Off Report is a very good tool but since everyone doesnt have internet access I just feel there has got to be some kind of way to stop these idiots from scamming the public.
