national domestic violence hotline is full of very rude and mean women who are so-called 'counselors' there... some are nice and helpful and when you speak to those people it's a good thing, but there are some who are very unhelpful condescending arrogant and lke to be rude to women who are 'battered' or abused...
i have called numerous times asking specific questions with regards to abuse or domestic violence, only to have my q's not answered and responded with derogatory statements....and rude attitudes...for absoluetly no reason, or told "well ive talked to my colleagues about you calling in" trying to pinpoint someone, make them feel bad or stupid for calling in, and gossip about callers and make them feel very low...and not even helping them out or answering their questions...
if someone is calling in confused and needing assistance, why are these stupid 'counselors' trying to confuse them or anger them? this is abuse in itself, and so wrong for a 'hotline' to do...these types of hotlines nede to be investigated because they are dangerous for people who are calling in who might be on the verge of a breakdown or already very upset or scared...only to encounter rude or abusive people themselves...rather than helpful people....
the women counselors at this place need some serious counseling themselves and shoudl not be on the other end of the line-- they are negative mean abusive people who abuse abused women and upset them more rather than helping them...shame on these sick people and any hotline out there with nuts for counselors and disturbed sick people....

These People DO NOT HELP -- CONGRESS NEEDS TO PULL THEIR FUNDING!

I tried to call these people twice when I was in a bad family violence situation back in Texas.
The first woman put me on hold until the rural phone line I was using went dead and I almost became dead myself.
The second time, I was told " You must like it because you stay there." and she hung up.
I had no car and no way out until I finally managed to LEAVE before I left down a shaft of light permanently in the flip top box...
I don't know why Congress wastes good money on USELESS EATERS like these verminl
I don't know anyone whoever received help from them but you better believe they receive a paycheck for nothing.... I could give better advice than they can.
Maybe they are just empty limousine liberals patronizing those of us who they think are their socioeconomic and educational inferiors and ar just sitting on the broad butts to get a paycheck they neither deserve or earn.
You let someone who has actual experience with family violence advise someone who has actually experienced it and they will get REAL advice from the heart from someone who has been there and done that and doesn't want it anymore and can tell someone how to get the madness stopped.

This is a bad line to call

I recently too called this hotline, to talk about a bad sexual experience, and was trying to give some information. Instead of the crazy counselor on the other end helping me out-- she stated that what I was claiming was too "explicit" for the line, was rude and demeaning, then began in a derogatory way asking me questions myself very rudely. The women working these lines are just your basic today's society psychopath- mean people, no social skills no humane skills, and they definitely do not have the ability, training, or intellect to help out battered or abused women or anyone. It's just surprising that you try calling in to get help from women, and receive only the nastiest attitudes possible- they are trying to fight the battered woman and insult her... what a bunch of disturbed people working these lines. Hey don't call into this place if you are having questions about relationships or abuse - you will get abused too by the freaks that are trained to insult anyone calling in.
