I purchased a mattress and boxspring from Mattress Giant back in 2009 for my young daughter who was moving into a regular bed. At the time my 4 year old did not have a problem with wetting her bed however the sales representative at the time highly recommended we buy a Protect-A-Bed mattress protector as she was young and accidents do happen. We was told that if purchased the Protect-A-Bed mattress cover while purchasing the mattress and box spring together if for some reason my daughter happend to wet her bed and the mattress got wet they would replace the mattress free for the next ten years.
Two years later my daughter had an accident and what do you know the mattress protector failed her mattress got wet with urine and I was thinking no problem we bought the protector and if it failed I am going to get a new mattress.
I called Mattress Giant who stated yes it is true all you have to do is call Protect-A-Bed and they will take care of the rest. However when I called Protect-A-Bed they told me they would ship me a new cover, and once they received my old cover they would let me know if it was covered. I received call from Protect-A-Bed who stated that because I washed and dried the cover which is on the label of instructions to do, that the backing had failed and they could not cover my warranty.
I then contacted Mattress Giant headquarter to let them know what a bunch of bullsh*t they are selling to customers and they told me that because they were bought out by Sleepys they no longer could help me.
I would have never purchased a Protect-A-Bed cover at the price of $80.00 when I purchased the mattress if I was not going to get some type of warranty. I could have easily purchased a $20.00 protector from Walmart that would have done the same thing. This is in my opinion is unfair and deceptive selling practices.
I did contact the Attorney Generals Office in my state and they conducted a follow-up with the same results that because of normal wear and tear (washing & drying) they are not going to give me new mattress.
I just want everyone to know that when you purchase a mattress do not purchase a $100.00 pad as a $20.00 pad does the same thing.

I was contacted by the President of Ultimate Bedding Company with an offer of assistance in regards to the both my mattress replacement and mattress encasement covers. I must say initially I was a skeptic however once I actually spoke with Mr. Paris I was relieved to know that he and his company do truly care about me the consumer.
Not only did Ultimate bedding convince Sleepys who now owns Mattress Giant to credit me all my monies back for the mattress, boxspring, and Protect a Bed cover so that I could replace the mattress that was damaged. Ultimate Bedding also supplied me with mattress, boxspring, and pillow encasements which are now on my daughters bed.
I trust now if my daughter happens to have an accident that the encasements I have will not only work but if for some reason the mattress is damaged again I know I can count on Ultimate Bedding for a full replacement.
I cannot thank Ultimate Bedding enough for what they have done. I wish I new this company was around when I was originally purchasing a bed, as I would have bought the encasements from them as they really do warranty their encasements. There should be more businesses like Ultimate Bedding.

I am truely sorry to hear about you situation and that nobody was able to help you.
When you make a purchase of this nature, i.e. waterproof mattress encasements, it is not a far fetched idea to truely expect that the Mattress Giant store from which you purchased the product or the manufacture to uphold their warranty. But I also have to say that I am NOT truley shocked that these type of companies are conducting business in this manner. That is the main reason why I too started a protective encasement company called Ultimate Bedding Company Inc. but with a REAL LIFETIME MANUFACTURES WARRANTY, one which would replace your mattress in such a situation like yours where the product did not stand up to what you truely expected it to do.
I truely hope your daughter does not feel like any of this is her fault and that you don't either.
That said, I am going to extend my companies warranty to you and your daughter. YES I am going to cover your loss of mattress from which you are out because of the lack of protection Protect-a-Bed products and company failed to provide you. Plus I am going to provide you and your daughter mattress encasements free of charge which will also carry our Worry-Free Lifetime warranty, so that you never have to experience this situation again.
