Together Dating, The Right One HUGE Waste of Money San Antonio Texas

This company goes by several names, including The Right One and Together Dating. Recently they've started putting small black and white signs on the sides of roads asking you to contact them by different websites. They use the names of the cities in which they post their signs. For instance, I live near Morrisville, PA, so you will see lots of little signs saying "Single? Go to www.morrisvilledating.com. I'm not sure but I suspect they do this to try to avoid using their real name, which many people already know to stay away from. Doing this makes it look like they're some new, local company who is going to match up with people who live nearby. DON'T FALL FOR IT.

This service uses extremely aggressive, smooth-talking salespeople who will flatter the hell out of you and do everything short of twisting your arm to convince you to sign up. They use female salespeople to sell men and men to sell to women. They even have you fill out some sort of "personality" test that they supposedly use to help find compatible matches for you. The charge is exorbitant -- usually about $3,500 or more for a specific number of "matches." And of course, they won't tell you the cost until after you've sat through their sales ptich for more than an hour. Stupid me, I fell for this all about 2 years ago and signed up.

For my money I got a 3-line "profile" describing me that they wrote themselves and would not allow me to edit. This is what they send out to your potential matches. So you don't get any real information about your matches, either -- only about 3 lines telling you only the most shallow information such as how tall someone is what his eye color is, and what his hobbies are. That's it! There's no photo and nothing about where they live, what they care about, their religion, if they have kids, etc. They do have a website that you can use to post a lot of extra information about yourself and photos, but they don't say much about it and hardly anyone uses it.

I got set up with about 15 men, mostly nice guys but not interesting to me. Certainly these men were no better or different from what I can find in vastly cheaper online dating sites which give much more information!

What angered me is that The Right One made absolutely no attempt to find anyone compatible for me. I sent very detailed e-mails about what I want and don't want and they pretty much ignored all of it. In addition, they are VERY rigid. They match people by by age and certain weeks of the month. So if you're in your 20s, they will work on matching you during the first week of the month. If you're in your 40s, they will work on you in the 3rd week of the month and so on. They absolutely will not consider matching you across different age groups.

The bottom line is that this service is very expensive and you get next to nothing for your money -- certainly no real attention or effort to really put you with someone compatible.
