If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is. A few things to reconsider. Oprah was supporting a certain maker of the Acai Berry which is Acai Berry Edge and the endorsement in Oprah.com. Next, it was a FREE TRIAL. Have you ever heard the saying I think it goes something like "if it's free it isn't worth having!" Every site I looked at and did my homework on all said the about the same thing. Some had 14 day trials some said 21 days, however they all said you must call and cancel AND ship back the UNUSED portion to receive your money back minus S&H.

Something to ponder, do you think the FREE TRIAL would be enough quantity wise and time wise to take a full and lasting effect? Now if you you are doing this to lose weight then you read that the people lost 10-40 lbs over 3-9 months. So as you can tell it is not a quick fix or rapid weight loss scheme. I understand you thoughts though because you are probably scared it wont work like everything else we have tried in our dieting "careers." Also the price I saw you said it was going to cost $81+, was a little high. Now each of the top 3 sites had 3 different prices, claiming potency level of the Berry was the key, ranging from $39.95 to $69.95.

I would recommend the $39.95 which was Oprah's pick. It is reasonable and they only ship you to bottles at a time instead of 3 bottles. Now here is the catch, I have heard that it has to be frozen after the Acai Berry harvests, so which one does that before they make the pill. Sometimes you just have to try something to see if it works and sometimes it costs money to figure that out. Now if you try it for, one site says 30 days another says 60 days, and you don't think it helped. Send it back for a full refund, pay the measly $4 to ship it and cancel future orders, so your out about $45. You probably spend that on junk food in a week, right?

I would go with the one Oprah endorsed since she is pretty reliable, for the most part and since it was on CBS News, ABC, The Washington Post, Today, Fitness Mag. and The Wall Street Journal. I sound like I work for the company, which I do not. The only thing I feel is this, before someone makes a claim against a company, or person for that matter, they should make sure all of the facts are straight, they know what their part was in it and back up their facts with proof, then and only then should they "Complain."

I was dupped by the same company above that was advertised on Facebook as "Oprah's Acai Berry Diet" and like you I thought the trial sample was harmless. Ofcourse I didn't read the Terms and Conditions, which was at the very, very bottom of the page and only AFTER I gave this parasite company my credit card information. I read the Terms and thought, Okay I'll cancel this. Then I googled Acai and "Acai Berry Scams" was listed, clicked on that, there are literally HUNDREDS of complaints against companies who sell products like these that scam people out of 60, 70, 90 bucks a month, and usually don't stop charging atleast a fraction of that amount if you get through and cancel the order.
After reading all of this, I took matters in my own hands, called my credit card company and had them stop charges and issue me a new card. The guy on the phone was at first puzzled as to why I would doing this through him and not the company I ordered from but after I explained he was as pissed off at this place as I was! I'm going to sleep well tonight thanks to you and others for warning me about this company, but I'll be watching for any $89 charges on my statement next month just in case. The complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau in Florida attempted to negotiate with Nubodi, and imagine this - Nubodi reported they had never done business with me, they say they did not share my information with Wellness Watchers MD, and if I would just "send them my personal information and credit card numbers again" then they will try to find me in their system. Ha! What a laugh!

The BBB should be ashamed to even negotiate such scandalous requests when they know what kind of people they're dealing with (BBB gave this company a grade of "F" on their website).

I also alerted the Chamber of Commerce in Davie, Florida to the scandalous activities of Nubodi and Wellness Watchers, and the Davie Chamber of Commerce was kind enough to call me. The gentleman there informed me that the telephone number for Nubodi: 801-208-7485 is NOT even a Florida telephone number, but the address they are using: 4650 SW 51st Street, Suite 711, Davie, Florida 33314 - IS an actual address.

Soon after my conversation with the helpful gentleman at the Davie Chamber of Commerce, a woman from Oregon called me to say that the she was given my number by the Davie Chamber of Commerce as another person who had been scammed by Nubodi's Acai berry scam, and I told this lady to beware of Wellness Watchers MD too. Unfortunately for this lady in Oregon, she purchased the products with her debit card, so the money is gone from her bank account forever, and I doubt that she'll see it back again. I encouraged her to close her account so that they can't get at any more of her hard earned cash.

I sincerely wish that someone out there would go after these people - Nubodi and Wellness Watchers MD - and put them behind bars. They are getting rich off of a lot of unsuspecting health conscious people.

Through the complaint process, I learned from the Better Business Bureau's website that the real name of the company is Nubodi, Inc. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. They have a grade of F with the BBB. Surprised?

I ended up canceling my credit card and took the advice of my visa company to set up an alert on my credit to protect me from identity theft.

I also filed complaints with the following:

Federal Trade Commission (FTC)
Consumer Protection Agency
Internet Crime Complaint Center
Better Business Bureau in Southern Florida
Chamber of Commerce of West Palm Beach, FL
and Ripoff Report, of course.

Oddly enough, Nubodi (Extreme Acai Berry) has not posted any charges to my account yet, however, an unsolicited charge from Wellness Watchers MD of Princeton, NJ for $1 did post. They work together.

When I called Wellness Watchers MD at 800-591-6383 to inquire about the mystery charge, they said I "automatically" signed up for their MONTHLY service when I bought the Acai berry trial. I couldn't dispute it or cancel it. The woman at Wellness Watchers MD was very determined, very rude, and she hung up on me when I tried to explain about Nubodi, Inc.

My credit card company allowed and encouraged me to dispute the $1 charge, because it is only the tip of the iceberg. Once they start charging me without any disputes, then they will go for bigger charges, all the while claiming that I somehow agreed to it.

Some kind of credit safeguards need to be put in place to stop these credit card sharks like Nubodi and Wellness Watchers MD.
