I would like to know what is the latest report on the complains against Ocwen Mortgage Copmpany. I read so many complains posted here on Ripoff, but have not read any results from the complaints.
I'm also a victim of Ocwen Mortgage Company...and I truly regret that I refinanced from my previous Mortgage to Aegis Lending. Aegis Lending went bankrupt last year and Ocwen took over.
Well, when Ocwen took over, I was told that I was behind my mortgage payment although, it was not my fault that it took Ocwen 3 months to update records from the previous lender (Aegis) yet they count that as being the fault of the borrower. Yes, they have threatened to foreclose my home, but I will not let that happened.
I have asked for options and Ocwen put our mortgage loan under a forbearance plan, meaning that payments has increased. In the interim my payments will have covered the previous late payments within a given date.
I have hired a company called "American Forclosure Service" to work with Ocwen in working out a "Modification Plan" which means to lowering the interest rate of the loan...I've worked with AFS since May 2008 and neither I nor the AFS has received any agreement or approval from Ocwen.
I feel that I've exhausted and tried ways to work things out with Ocwen, and my next step is to write to Congress and copy of this letter to my lawyer. Yes, I have records of my monthly payments and other important documents for proof.
I feel that as long as I'm under the forbearance plan and paying my mortgage monthly, I have good grounds and evidence.
It is going to be a long process...together with lots of prayers and having faith in Our Almighty God...something good will come out of this. Yes, I have setbacks and disappointments with Ocwen, but I feel that I can succeed in spite of this misfortune. The key is having the courage to keep fighting no matter how hard the going gets. He, who falls nine times, but gets up tem times is a success. Success is a journey, not a destination.

If there is any way to fight this company, we have been ripped off also. We didn't even sign with them, we signed with Ameriquest and was trasnferred to them within just a month or two. They tried to repo our home, but we were able to come up with the money they asked for to "not repo" it. Now we already have charges on our account for certain things like property inspection fee, other FB/repayment agreement which when we paid what they asked for, we should have been clean and equal and now they already are starrting again.

India is a joke! This can help

First of all let me say I feel for everyone on this site because I have been there with Ocwen several times. Every time an issue was fixed another one happened. Tell the Indian agents you only want to speak to someone in the US. Its been documented on this site many times and I can tell you from my own personal experience it works. I have also had success calling the Office of the Consumer Onbudmen I am not sure how to spell it but I got the info from the website and they escalated my issue got me in touch with upper management in the US who actually knew what they were doing and solved me issues almost immediately without me having to explain it over again. I tried to find her name, but can't. I will keep looking because she was a heaven send at the time. Every issue I have had with Ocwen is Indian related. Talk about predatory: The company that handles my loan sends everything to India and we lose jobs in US and then when they call for money there is none because the jobs are being sent there? How does that make sense? Are these companies even paying social security I doubt it Who suffers? The workers of America! The fat cats that already have all the money make more. Its so unbelievable they are allowed to do this. Its sad. Forcing them to send your call the the US does a couple things. You can actually understand the information you are receiving and get your account straight and Ocwen can't get rid of those people. How can outsourcing be legal? Its not right that they have American's private info and mean private. SSN, employer, DOB. They take America money and spend it somewhere else. Not right.

UPDATE

Hi,
I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel. I visited my local Housing Partnership office and the counselor actually spoke to a person at Ocwen who was not American, but wasnt Indian either. He got some answers out of her, unfortunately for them, they were lies, so now we have it on record that they have been misleading and mischarging us. The partnership counselor requested some documents that we allegedly signed for a Loan modification which would place our fees back into our mortage, but not the two months' mortgage that we were actually behind in our mortgage (which would result in Ocwen being paid the fees twice plus interest, but would still leave our mortgage in arrears). What fool would actually sign a document agreeing to that is beyond me, but they claim to have a document signed by my husband and I that says exactly that. So when we receive these alleged documents, which are certainly fraudulent, then we will really have a leg to stand on when we go to sue them and we have the counselor as a witness. We will be forwarding these documents to the Banking Commission, The Federal Trade Commission and also the Attorney Generals for North Carolina as well as Florida.

Jenny,
We all felt that we could "fight" Ocwen and have been doing just that for years. They are very well connected and because their collection center is in India where these people know absolutely nothing about America, they couldn't care less if we lost our homes or not. First of all, they are being paid a fraction of what an American worker would be paid and have no understanding of the concept of foreclosure or repayment agreement, they are reading a script. That is why if you ask questions outside of the script, five different people will give you five different answers, cause they dont know!!!! Besides that, you will be very lucky if you get one who speaks and understands audible English, they never give their real names because, "they think we feel more comfortable speaking with them if they have "American" names" like we are stupid and dont know that someone in India who speaks almost no English is NOT name John, or Rick or Sam!!LOL
However, you keep fighting and hopefully when you have dealt with Ocwen and been lied to, misled, robbed, bankrupt, and left homeless or nearly homeless for seven years or more, like most of us have, I hope you will have a better story to tell. Let us know how it turns out.
