Anyone else sense political and financial motivation here? Just out of curiosity. . . {The DA(s) office who provides the legal support for CPS, files each case on every family, provides the staff of ADAs to monitor each case, attend all the planning meetings, file all the mounds and mounds of paperwork etc..} Is the DA a Republican or Democrat? How is the DA's office able to handle all of these cases, are they now getting extra funding for staff? How are the Guardians at Lietums being appointed for the children and paid? The Judge on the cases. . . what is the relationship between the DAs office and the Judge? What ties does the Judge have to the apoointed lawyers for the children? Moreover, what relationship does the DA or Judge have with CPS in the area, are they on the Boards of Directors for the Childrens Advocacy Center (CPS). Just comparing Texas counties, AN EXAMPLE...COLLIN COUNTY TEXAS. The DA is on the Board of Directors for The Childrens Advocacy Center better known as CPS, the DA's son is a Judge in Collin County family courts, his daughter in law is a Guardian at Lietum appointed to the Children, the Judge in the 417th who is over most all CPS cases employs the DAs Chief Investigators step daughter as her clerk of court, and this Judge is also married to another Judge in the same court house, her husband is in the DA's Criminal court division. While Collin County tends to sit under the radar thus far, it make one stop and wonder. . . why does CPS "shoot now ask questions later?" Who all is profiting from the scars that will be permanantly be branded on these families and children? More importantly, who monitors the "hush hush" relationships. . . COLLIN COUNTY has it down to an artform.

Entire Collin County CSO/CPS departments overstep!

AUTHOR: Keith - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 25, 2010

I have 4 children who reside in Collin County as do myself. The courts strong arm child support parents for money they simply dont have. The managing conservator (even with joint custody) seems to get hard core representation from the AG's office even though they say they dont represent either party. Right! My Ex and I had finally agreed on the $5800 payments made to her by check and prove up was successful. The AG's office suggested to my Ex that she not agree to that at the time. We argued for 2 years over that and we finally agreed and then it was quased by the AG?

My Ex is a very unhealthy person to live with, depression, Bi-Polar, alcoholism (Treated), low self esteem, trashy, terrible home keeper, just nasty to live with. I have not been able to get the courts to see how my son at least needs to be living with me. He is missing some male presence and is growing up angry and is in lots of trouble. NO ONE will listen. Everybody's concerned with what I dont pay and not really the welfare of the children. Money will not fix or replace the fathers or the mothers in these situations. What a child needs most is their parents. At least they could order counceling for the children and parents. Something of benefit. (They dont need $100 pair of flashy tennis shoes!)

Too easy to get married in Texas and way too easy to get divorced. Its all about money..the demize of respect and honesty.

Judges come from attorneys, DA's come from attorneys, Judges are partial to attorneys so we have no chance of penetrating the good ole boy deal. Can you imagine what a child must think if the court places the parent in jail for not paying child support because they cant! Yet never missed a pick up or an event or has lots of contact with the child including lunch with all nearly twice a week? I am an active parent/Dad. My kids will never say "My dad never said I love you" or "I never saw my dad much".

If the system was working wouldnt we see a sigificant decrease in children and their adaptation to life and living in society. Tatoos, piercings, guns, violence. What part do these people not get? I really dont think the State should be in a position to tell anyone what to do with the Ex wifes/husbands and their children. I wonder how many couples would stay married if they knew that. When its quitin time you have a whole responsibility to consider. Even mental illness should not be an excuse..(For better or worse)Women cant raise children by themselves and men cant either...no brainer guys. Love and commitment to the family and the children is the answer.

The State would save Billions of dollars and reduce their payroll if they would stop trying to mind the world. Its out of control.

I cannot even get CPS to go have a look see. Im so afraid they will take the children that I dont want to bother. The kids (at least the boy) should be living with me...How can I get a CPS investigation anonymously....OMG I am so afraid of the fiasco. Anybody know?

The "Original Report" says it all. The children are really not the focus..its all smoke and mirrors.

Regarding DA on Board of Directors of Children's Advocacy Center

AUTHOR: Anon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 01, 2009

Children's Advocacy Centers in Texas were created by an act of the legislature.

Texas Family Code 264.404 mandates certain persons to serve on the board of directors of the local CAC, including the District Attorney.

This is not unique to Collin County.

Additionally, the Family Code is the law under which CPS cases proceed.

The poster who suggested that you obtain copies of policy manuals was right - you should educate yourself about the rules by which the agency operates.

With regard to county-level officials being related, being alumni of the same schools, having supported elected officials in their campaigns, that's part of the stink of county-level politics in Texas.

Although it isn't, it SHOULD be a breach of professional ethics for an attorney to provide campaign support, especially money and endorsements, to a person running for Judge in a court that attorney practices in. It just doesn't pass the "sniff test" for ethical behavior and gives the appearance of a conflict of interest.

CPS, CASA, Atty Ad Litem and Collin County District Attorney share the same bed too.

AUTHOR: Fight For Your Family - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, August 25, 2008

The above article only scratches the surface. Collin County, CPS, CASA, Atty Ad Litem and Collin County District Attorney share the same bed when it comes to winning a TDFPS /CPS case. The Collin County website summarizes it all with their closing sentence "...this sometimes means a parent's rights must be restricted or terminated." Real positive, right? This takes a lot of effort and a slew of lies to win their case. All of them take direction and legal advice from the District Attorney.

Last year, Aprox 740 children were seized in Collin County. Federal grants are only provided to the county if X amount of these children stay in foster care. The other state and federal grants are allowed only if X number of children are adopted.

Here's a few more details to add to the Court's family tree. In a case I'm reviewing, the DA, the atty ad litem and a court appointed attorney assigned on many of the CPS "open" cases, all three, had graduated from the same college, 2 of them the same year alumni. I also found CPS ignores TDFPS policy and requirements, plus have their CPS workers act on behalf of the atty ad litem's job requirements. AKA: sending social workers to supposedly do a home study, but actually they are completing the attorney's investigative report, without the attorney present.

If you want to win a case against TDFPS, CPS, CASA...read their current yearly manuals. All are download able. They are required to do certain steps. Funny thing is: ALL of the current cases I read online were missing essential LEGAL elements for a child's removal. So many of these cases can be fought and won, if people just understand State Policy Requirements. If all else fails, file an appeal within the 30 days you have to do so. Federal Courts protect children with their families much more so than Texas State. Hope this helps. GOD BLESS OUR CHILDREN
