Be aware of Alibaba.com, 90% of the "companies" or "traders" are fraudulent, especially from China. I setup to purchase 10 nintendo wii systems from a "seller" who is an Alibaba "gold member" and "trust pass member" . A guy named RUssie Lu emailed me, offer the nintendo wii system for $200 each. He stated that Alibaba would handle the transaction and the money would be sent to them and we would take delivery of product and be able to inspect before Alibaba released the money. I received another email which was addressed from "Alibaba-inc.com" as the heading and inside the email had Alibaba's heading and showed me a picture of the agent handling the transaction. I wired the money.

A few hours later I emailed alibab-inc.com to see what happened with the transaction and alibaba told me I had been scammed. They do not show company complaints on their website and they allow "anyone" to advertise sale of whatever they feel like. Anything coming out of China is FAKE, do not import from there.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

You show a lack of basic business concepts which is why you've gotten scammed

AUTHOR: Nick - (U.S.A.)

1) If its too good to be true, it probably is.
2) If EVERYONE is selling a product, there are always people with bigger pockets than you, better access to sales channels and more experience.
3) If EVERYONE WANTS to sell a product, it fosters the "scammers."  Alibaba is not 90% scammers.  The people who claim to sell wholesale ipods & wiis etc are 100% of the time scammers.  Companies like Apple and Nintendo keep close control over their distribution channels.  Even if you found a legitimate source, its not likely you would make much money.  You're ROI\margin would be very low, approaching zero or even negative.  A few people get lucky and make a boat full of money, but they're well heeled, experienced sellers with good access to supply and an understanding of the market.

So the problem isn't Alibaba, its you.  Unfortunately.  And products coming out of China aren't "fake."  Nearly everything you buy in some capacity is made in China.  You obviously have such a low level of business knowledge that you have no business attempting to import products.

Anyways, Alibaba isn't for everyone.  If this post makes you angry and you disagree with it, trust me, you have no business on the site.  Alibaba's job isn't to baby sit users and let them know what is safe and not safe to buy from.  That's your job.  Its called "due diligence" and you obviously have no idea what that is.
