This privacy matters that everyone is reporting is a scam. The ex-employees trying to defend them are scam artists themselves. For some reason I have been charged $199.99 4 times from different random companies. In my state over $300 is grand theft. I just got out of the military and now I am a college student so I notice when $800 dollars goes missing, it is practically all I have.
When I disputed it my bank got my money back then within about 2 days the companies charged me again. I didn't notice this because I was a bit busy outprocessing from the military and not spending much money and keeping up with my bank account. So I lost that initial $400 and I only had so many days to dispute. Now apparently it is too late to dispute that but I will make sure it isn't even though it happened a year ago.
Now I am in the midst of disputing another $400. I have notified my bank (which is a very large bank in the US) of the problem and they are looking into it. Hopefully they will block all transactions from Privacy Matters from all their members credit cards. I also notified MSN about this scam and hopefully more people will too so they can't advertise anymore. Privacy Matters *&*&* with the wrong person on this one.
First of all it said free credit report. Second I put in the correct email and got nothing in return. Then later I get charged from companies like Today's Escapes and Experian or something that I never did anything with. Another charge was AP9*Privacy Matters and on their website it says they cannot legally charge people because other companies do the work. So thats a screwjob. I never authorized any of this I was just curious what my FREE credit report was and because MSN HOTMAIL advertises them I figured they could be trusted but this isn't true.
My father's high school buddy is a lawyer in D.C. and he is looking into all this for me and if anyone wants to give me their name and email to go against this and get back every dime you were ever charged then email me at jheise44@hotmail.com. Remember if they are giving out your information and not following the so-called "contract" you don't have to either and you can get back your money regardless of what you "agreed" to.
