Heritage Family Library ripoff Oldest scam, sent book that was not ordered asking for payment without instructions on how to return it Nashville Tennessee
*Consumer Suggestion: Happened to me - Here's easy solution
*Consumer Suggestion: FTC, Attorney General's Offices
They sent out a book that I did not order. The attached letter starts with the word 'Congratulations!', has the word 'free' everywhere and then asks for a payment towards the end.
It does not have any instructions on how to return it. It does not have a pre-paid postage for returning the material. It does not tell us how to have the name removed from the list.
I do want to pay for returning something that I did not order to begin with!

Found this information on BBB Tennessee - Call Heritage Family customer service 1-800-251-1520 and let them know you don't want the book they sent and don't want any more books. They will send you a return postage sticker for the book you have and cancel your 'membership' to their bookclub.
I just called them and did this, they were nice and gave me no hassle. Although I'll have to wait and see if I get the label and stop recieving books.

You need to report this to the FTC. They have an online form. Contact the Attorney General's offices in TN and IL and report them there as well. Good luck.
