I want that printer to print great photographs and graphics as well and black and white reports, etc. PC World lists the Canon i890 as the Editor's pick. I just checked the shopcv site. It lists that printer - new or used - at $99.99 to $149.99.

I happened to check out our local newspaper and Office Max has the same printer - NEW - starting at $139.99, now on sale for $30. less. They also sent me a coupon for $10. off the sale price. Well, this decision is no problem. I just bought the printer at OfficeMax and got all of the info I need to be sure that they will service my printer should any problem arise. Since I never had any problems with my very old Canon printer, I don't forsee any problems to arise.

I have been a customer of this company for about a year now. Although the newest software is not on the site, the software they do sell is very high quality. I too, however, was a little skeptical when I called, so they let me send in a cash order. I was not hassled. They have only called once, and that was to make sure I was enjoying their services. I give them two thumbs up.

I was also called by the same company and agreed to the 14.95 deal for a month. It wasn't even 30 days and they were already trying to put through the 49.95 transaction against my debit card. I put a stop to that real quick. I agree about the old software. It was a joke to go to the site and see what there was to offer.

If you are going to sell memberships, let's try getting some updated software. When speaking with my bank, I was assured by them that I wouldn't have a problem stopping any future attempts to deduct money from my account. I was told that after the 30 days, I would have to contact them to agree to the lifetime membership. I choose not to sign up for that.

I was also told that they would not deduct any money unless I called to authorize it. Yes, this company is truely a rip off and I hope for other's sake, it doesn't happen to them. Don't get scammed by these people. It isn't worth it....

This is simply to clarify some erroneous points that Richard made:

1. The 30-day trial is $19.95, which is $14.95 plus $5 s/h. $14.95 is fully refundable within 30 days, the full $19.95 is fully refundable within 24 hours (before the package is shipped).

2. There is a $20 coupon included with the trial which may be used to select 3-4 (or more, depending upon cost) retail programs from over 300 titles. These are not "old" programs, but they are usually the last version before the most recent (i.e.,version 7 when the newest release is version 8). The same programs may be purchased on other websites for upwards of $7.95 (we have them for an average of $4.95), or in stores for $10-$20. The original retail prices are generally $29.99 - $49.99.

3. The membership is actually $49.95 for LIFE, it is NOT per year. The membership includes, among other benefits, a Search Team that locates hard-to-find items for customers, often by going to competing sites, and always seeking the lowest available prices.

4. Our company is licensed and bonded with all four major credit card companies (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express) which means that we must comply with all federal and state laws regarding credit card purchases. This includes the refund policy: it is clearly stated in the literature, it is clearly stated by all Customer Service employees, and it is mandatory in the sales pitch of all telemarketers employed by the company. (See item#1 above.)

5. Also, Richard mentioned that he was told that he made specific inquiries to our company. This is not true. We receive names from people who have indicated an interest in saving money on computer related products. We also do receive some direct requests to our company, but most are generic.
