BACK IN APRIL I CALLED A NUMBER OUT OF THE NEWSPAPER FOR A POSTAL JOB. WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBER I TALKED TO A MAN ,AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS AFFILIATED WITH THE POST OFFFICE. HE GAVE ME A LIST OF POSTAL JOBS THAT THEY WERE HIRING FOR.
THEN HE TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD SEND THE POSTAL EXAM BOOK OUT FOR $69.00, SO THAT I WOULD BE PREPARED FOR THE TEST.
WHEN I CALLED THE POST OFFICE TO FIND OUT WHEN THE TEST WAS GOING TO BE FOR THE JOB THAT I WANTED THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE NOT HIRING AT THAT TIME, AND THE NUMBER THAT I CALLED WAS A SCAM.
NOW I AM OUT OF $69.00,AND STUCK WITH A BOOK THAT I CAN'T USE OR SEND BACK, AND I NEVER GOT THE JOB AT THE POST OFFICE
YOU WOULD THINK THE POST OFFICE WOULD BE CHECKING INTO THIS. NOT!

The USPS Office of Inspector General along with the FTC has shut down some of these scams. Unfortunately, they pop up as fast as weeds in a lawn.
Free information is available at your local post office regarding job openings. Many public libraries have test study guides available to be borrowed free.
