Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson, AND National Credit Solutions collection agency are ALL a complete scam and they are engaging in aggressively illegal collection practices, just like all million dollar corporations and credit card companies are doing today to collect every penny they can, even to the point of breaking the law and engaging in illegal collection practices. Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson have teamed up with National Credit Solutions collection agency, a highly unethical collection agency called National Credit Solutions in Oklahoma City, OK who are running a highly aggressive mafia style chop shop style collection business where they do and say what they want because they know they can get away with anything, even when they know what they are doing is illegal.

I very politely and professionally requested that National Credit Solutions send me a letter detailing to me how they came up with the $198 in charges, and show proof of the last date they billed my credit card, which would show proof of the last date of activity. The collection agency yells at me on the phone and told me they don't have to do anything. They did state that Columbia House charged a $3 per month charge for non-payment. If this is true, then 7 years or 72 months x $3 would equal $216 additional to the original $67 amount they say I owe, totaling $283 and not $198. I told them none of this added up. They said the charge off date was 2005, only 3 years ago, which wuld be the last date of activity, or last date they charged my credit card. I know that is not true because the credit card i used to sign up with them was my NetSpend credit card i had 8 years ago. And i never used that card again as of 6 years ago. Remember, you cannot join Columbia House unless you have a credit card. I checked my credit card statements from 2001, 2002, and 2003, and absolutely no charges from Columbia House. National Credit Solutions HAS NO PROOF AND THEY ILLEGALLY RE-AGED THE ACCOUNT TO 2005 SO THEY CAN COLLECT. And the final thing National Credit Solutions told me when i was questioning the amount, which is my right to do so, is National Credit Solutions told me if you want to we will change the amount owed to more if you would like, and started yelling at me, "do you want to pay this or not?"

WHAT REALLY HAPPENED IS NATIONAL CREDIT SOLUTIONS PURCHASED A HUGE BULK OF THOUSANDS OF ACCOUNTS FROM COLUMBIA HOUSE DVD CLUB FOR PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR, REGARDLESS OF HOW OLD THE ACCOUNTS WERE, AND RE-AGED ALL ACCOUNTS, HIT EVERYONES CREDIT REPORT, AND BOOM, YOU NOW OWE MONEY FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS 8 YEARS AGO.

I know that I probably owe something to this company, but it does not give any corporation LIKE Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson or National Credit Solutions collection agency the right to engage in illegal business practices. They do whatever they want to do because they know the consumers are uneducated and dont know their rights and never question them, and secondly, because they know they can get away with what they are doing because no one challenges them. If you question their authority or what they are doing, they have the mafia style attitude like bring it on, nothing you can do about it.

I joined Columbia House DVD Club company in 2001 and used my credit card 1 time, which by law, the date of last activity on this account was in 2001.

By law, no company has NO right whatsoever to collect on an account that is 7 years old, and by law, they have NO right.

2. Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson, and National Credit Solutions of 3675 E I 240 SERVICE RD., OKLAHOMA CITY, OK 73135 are all engaging in illegal billing and collection practices, ripping off consumers everywhere.

3. Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson, and National Credit Solutions of 3675 E I 240 SERVICE RD., OKLAHOMA CITY, OK 73135 are reporting accounts 8 years old to all 3 credit bureaus when it is highly illegal.

4. Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson, and National Credit Solutions of 3675 E I 240 SERVICE RD., OKLAHOMA CITY, OK 73135 are all ENGAGING IN CHOP SHOP, MAFIA STYLE COLLECTION PRACTICES, DOING WHATEVER THEY WANT BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY GET AWAY WITH IT BECAUSE THE AVERAGE CUSTOMER CANNOT AFFORD TO FIGHT THEM, AND WOULD COST THOUSANDS TO FIGHT AND WIN. SO THEY USE THE ODDS AND DO WHAT THEY WANT

5. NEVER EVER USE Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson, and National Credit Solutions of 3675 E I 240 SERVICE RD., OKLAHOMA CITY, OK 73135 are all a complete SCAM and ripoff!

If you want DVD movies or music CD's, please just go to your store and buy them, or subscribe to iTunes where you pay for what you get upfront, and don't have to agree to a chop shop mafia style contract agreement. If you make an honest mistake and miss a payment, change credit cards, or move to a new house, and if Columbia House DVD Club cannot locate you to force you to honor their MAFIA STYLE contract agreement, they will screw you so bad in the end and will cost you 100 times more than whatever deal or savings you can enjoy by joining them. They have extremely aggressive and illegal chop shop style collection practices that will ruin your credit and your life. SO DON'T SUBSCRIBE TO Columbia House DVD Club! Just go buy the DVD's and music CD's at your local stores, and save yourself the hassle.

Before you join Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson, ask yourself, is this worth it?

Is it worth you having to deal with National Credit Solutions yell at you and treat you like dirt, while they engage in mafia style chop shop collection practices. Is getting a few free CD's or DVD's worth ruining your credit, your life?

Once you give your credit card to Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson, or any corporation where they force you in a contract and bill your credit card monthly, they own you, and you will hear from them, if not tomorrow, next month, next year, it will be 5 to 8 years later, they will own you!

Never EVER use your credit card to pay monthly recurring fees from any company that forces you in a contract. Also, if you don't have money on your credit/debit card to cover the monthly recurring fee, then 2 things will happen. The company will end up charging you a $25 reject fee, and your banks will charge you a $35 NSF fee as well.

SO NEVER DO IT! STAY AWAY FROM COMPANIES THAT REQUIRE DEBIT/CHECK CARDS TO PAY RECURRING FEES. NEVER SIGN UP FOR AUTOMATIC BILL PAY WITH COMPANIES LIKE COLUMBIA HOUSE OR CELL PHONE COMPANIES AS WELL. Because if you end up going through hard times for a week or 2, or maybe a month, it will get worse because these corporations don't care about you, and you will end up owing 3 times the actual bill.

UPDATE! I PAID THE ACCOUNT

Today, December 16, I paid the account with Columbia House DVD Club that was from 2001 in full after they made me a settlement offer. The amount I owed was $198 and they settled with me for $134. I paid this account because i had already spent some 5 hours dealing with this account and I was sick and tired of dealing with this.

I did the following:

1. I spent 3 days trying to find a phone number to call Columbia House DVD Club and speak to a customer service rep so I can get them to find an account in my name and what the charges were. I could not find anything. There was one 800# listed on this ripoffreport site to Columbia House but they disconnected the phone line and was going to Netflix or something.

2. I once again asked them if they could explain the charges in detail, which is the law and my right, before I paid, and they said it is what it is, are you going to pay or not? They argued with me and raised their voice because they refused to do anything I asked. So i just paid the d**n thing so i can get this 8 year old account off my report.

3. I asked them if they were going to delete this from my 3 credit bureau accounts, and they said they would not that they would just report it is paid. If i wanted it DELETED from my credit report, the lady told me that if I paid another $50, they would permenantly delete it from my 3 credit bureau accounts. Those bastards!

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH Columbia House DVD Club, Stuart Goldfarb, Sharon Siegel, Fred Christensen, Clif Knight, Paula Batson because they will throw your account to the dogs at National Credit Solutions collection agency, a highly unethical collection agency called National Credit Solutions in Oklahoma City, OK who are running a highly aggressive mafia style chop shop style collection business
