We retained the services of this firm in March 2002 under the promise that a positive tax resolution would be performed within 8 months. We paid $3,000 in monthly installments but no resolution took place. We ended up doing all the work with the IRS, making the calls to the IRS, gathering IRS documents, etc. This firm consistantly sent confidential/time sensative documents to wrong addresses, failed to return our calls, lost documents we sent in and continued to ask for documentation that was previously sent to them.

Today is February 2, 2003 and yesterday we received a letter from an attorney of the firm that NEVER even handled our case, stating that due to our failure to return financial information by the IRS deadline they would no longer be representing us. It further stated that they had filled their obligation to us. WHEN? BAM! Just like that. We were never told of any IRS deadlines nor were we EVER late with returning requested documentation to them. Never were we permitted to speak with an actual attorney when we asked to. Now, OVER a year later our IRS debt has increased even more and no resolution was ever attempted by this firm on our behalf.

It is our feeling the firm of RONI LYNN DEUTCH is not in the business of settling tax debts for pennies on the dollar, but are in fact in the business of fraudulently taking money from IRS fearing consumers and knowingly and intentionally misleading them.

We are currently seeking a possible class action suit against this firm.

Roni Lynn Deutch Federal Lawsuit - advertisements are used to mislead reasonable consumers into believing that Roni Deutch can settle delinquent tax obligations for less than the full amount owed.

AUTHOR: Randall - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 22, 2005

On May 18, 2005, Newman & Associates, P.C. ("Newman") filed a lawsuit against the Law Offices of Roni Lynn Deutch and Roni Lynn Deutch in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (Case No. 05-CV-4789). The case has been assigned to the Honorable Miriam Goldman Cederbaum, who was the judge in the Martha Stewart case.

In the Complaint, Newman alleges that Roni Deutch's advertisements such as "pay the IRS $20"; "settle for pennies on the dollar" and "pay the IRS nothing" are false, misleading and deceptive.

Newman alleges that these advertisements are used to mislead reasonable consumers into believing that Roni Deutch can settle delinquent tax obligations for less than the full amount owed.

Newman also alleges that the misleading advertisements induce reasonable consumers into contacting Roni Deutch and once contacted, through a combination of false statements and deceptive acts, taxpayers are induced into engaging Roni Deutch and paying Roni Deutch substantial fees.
