My 2002 Cadilac Escalade got stolen and I have a full coverage plus i insured all the accessories interior and exterior (paid Extra) but the insurance company doing investigation and it has been going on for six months and i still do not see results.
They got an investigator, who questioned me and my brother about every possible thing, than they got an attorney who wanted to get statement from me and i gave them that, but all i get from the insurance company is letters telling me that they are still doing investigation.
How long can this go on? I am loosing work, can not go anywhere without my vehicle.

i was backing out of parking space when the car next me pulls out and slams into to rear of my truck. the other drivers insurance company finished there investigation in one week and said there driver was 60% at fault, well that bull sh*t. it took wawanesa adjuster 10 days just to contact me and thats after calling their office a dozens times. its been a month and their still investigating a simple fender bender. and further more the adjuster could care less with helping me when i told him the other insurance company only accepted 60% of the liability. forget the cheap rate i'm looking for a new company, and its true for all things... you get what you pay for!

While I have to admit DJango is correct in some areas I couldn't say one way or another what happened to your SUV until I saw the claim. DJango probably some j*****f that works for them. In any case Wawanesa is by far the WORST insurance company I ever had to deal with in my years as a claims adjuster.

a little knowledge...

goes a long way. Looks like you wouldn't know an insurance policy from Chinese menu. The comments on this site sure are stupefying. I love all the adjectives: "shady, dishonest..." here, I'll add one, how 'bout "contractually-bound"? Well, not really an adjective. Hey dimwit! Your policy is a contract, the insurer wrote it with specific terms & conditions in order to prevent FRAUD. One little lie can beget such big, big trouble (just ask Mr. Escalade!). Let me ask you a question: in your 15 year dealings, who was shady first, you or them? Betcha that THEY can prove that YOU are the shady one. What's your beef with Wawa? Give your words some teeth and then maybe you'll provide some value to this discussion.

I have been dealing with Wawanesa for over 15 years and they are every bit as shady and corrupt as the next insurance company, raising their rates on a whim, arguing over claims that I have made that are completely legit and that they have had to end up paying, through no fault of my own. I'm with you on this one and the person who rebutted your claim, belittling your story sounds like the typical know it all a.hole who wouldn't know the truth if it rose up and bit him on the b.lls.

Dude, you sound like every other chump luxury-SUV-owner who gets themselves in over their head..."huh, what...I've got full coverage...pay me!" Too high of a monthly payment? Your claim probably had red flags all over it. The insurance company really ought to profile people for the cars they drive--I sure do! So your precious Escalade was "stolen?" I'd like to know the details....I'd assume they're sketcy at best. Ever heard of "SIU"? Well that's who you're dealing with...why? Because they think you're dirty and they're probably right. Just how many claims has your bro-bro had & how does his involvement relate to your loss? Why don't you give us a few more facts about your claim and then we may have a shot at deciding who's legit. Remember, there's 3 sides to every story and your story sounds like it has a lot of unwritten chapters. Have fun...testifying at your deposition!

I am surprised you have had so many problems with Wawanesa. I've been a customer of theirs for years now. About 4 years ago, my car was stolen (fully insured). Within about two weeks, they had found my car at the beaches in Tijuana, Mexico. They fixed my car completely, it actually looked better than it had originally, thanks to a new paint job. I've gotten nothing but good service and great prices from them. But like I said, my experience with my car being stolen was 4 years ago, so things may have changed.
