For months I have question the Late Charges, and Other Expenses GMAC has continue to add to my account. After contacting GMAC and speaking with one of their representives who admitted that the charges were unexplainable, they have failed to correct the account.
GMAC continues to charge late fees after stating that my due date is the 15th of the month and I have a 15 day grace period. They cannot and do not give an explanation for the "Other Expenses" they have added that continue to increase monthly.
I have requested a written explanation of the Late Fees and Other Expenses which they have failed to provide. They have stated that one year they paid my property tax, but have not provided written evidence which would explain the Escrow/Impounded Fees they are charging me.
The monthly statements continue to show incorrect payment dates and one of their representives admitted that my records were probably not updated in thier systems, thus each statement I recieved is showing payments two to three months deliquent, when I am current.

First of all asking will get you no where with GMAC, go to HUD's website and find the "Qualified Written Request" sample letter. Make one of your own and send it to GMAC signature confirmation required.
There are many of us out here just like you fighting GMAC, trust me it's not a losing battle. There are Federal Cases against GMAC being won nearly everyday.
I'm currently fighting GMAC in your town! June 14th will be the next time!
Get that Qualified Written Request out to GMAC and start saving every piece of Documentation you have, get, or send out. Stay off the phone with GMAC they are recording everything you say and will try to use it against you in court if it comes down to that.
