G.A. Bove and Sons, Inc. has pulled a real fast one on myself and others in my community.
Many of us had contracts for oil delivery at a pre-set price which expired in mid-May. Shortly after the contract expired, Bove delivered oil and charged nearly twice the price per gallon that the contracts had stated.
This was done after the heating season was over.
Bove claims that we are on "automatic delivery" and that they deliver oil according to some formula which they are very vague about. Although they don't have a signed contract for this "automatic delivery" they are determined to enforce it and refuse to issue any type of refund or concession.
Messages left for the owner of the company were not returned.

All these oil companies are the same. I joined the Galway Co-op a few years ago and I couldn't be happier. I get the lowest prices on fuel oil and propane.Wish I had joined sooner. www.galwayco-op.com

At G A Bove fuels we do ask ALL our customers if they would like us to fill their tank automatically or wait for them to call. 80% opt for the auto delivery so they do not have to remember to check their tank . This is actually quite simple and not vague at all. We offer a variety of price protection plans and payment arrangements . This customer must have been on a pre-pay or budget plan which expires on 5/1 of every year . after that time any delivery made will be at fair market price. As everyone should remember the price of oil was skyrocketing and eventually peak in early july. This customer is also failing to state that this program saved them an average of 80 cents per gallon for the year . If they used 800 gallons the 07-08 heating season they saved $640. As you can see we really did rip them off JOHN V BOVE SEC/TRES
