I ordered an entire body kit from the Andys Auto Sport web site last year. At the time I placed my order the body kit was on sale for $699.00. The next day I called my credit card company to be sure the payment had went through correctly, which it did for $1,100.00 I then called Andy's Auto Sport to inquire on the extra $400.00 charged to my account and they told me it was extra for shipping because I live in Alaska and it would take an additional week to ship the kit. I realy wanted the kit so I accepted the extra charges and the week delay.

Four weeks later I had not recieved the body kit nor had I heard from Andy's Auto Sport so I called to inquire as to why I had not recieved my parts. One of the sales representatives told me that they had discontinued making the kit I ordered out of fiberglass and were switching over to urithane and I would recieve the urithane kit within two weeks. I was satisfied with this because I would be getting a better quality kit for the same price and hung up the phone.

Three weeks later (7 weeks from the initial order)I finally recieved the kit, but when I opened the box it was a fiberglass kit, not the urithane kit I was promised. Furious at this point, I called and spoke with the owner, who told me they did not make a urithane kit for the type I ordered and that they had a no refund policy so I could not get my money back. I cut my losses and went to have the parts installed on my car.

I dropped my car off at the auto body shop with the body kit, who had my car for 3 days when they called to tell me nothing fit my car, and in order to make it fit they would have to cut the front and rear bumper of the kit in half and do fabrication work of their own and informed me that if the kit would have fit properly (as I was assured it would by Andy's Auto sport) that it would have been hundreds of dollars cheaper to install.

The moral of the story is stay away from these people, they do nothing but lie to get what they want, your money!!!

Still not corrected

Received my second shipment from Andy's today and it was wrong again.  The replacement mirrors came in two unmarked boxes.  I ordered a set of new mirrors from a manufacturer named D-Lab.  I got two unmarked boxes.  The driver side box is the right year/make/model, but is manual not power.  The passenger side box was in a smaller box, the wrong year, and wrapped in bubble wrap.  How is it that a company can get away with this?  I have never heard of a "New" part coming in an unmarked box.  When I contacted their customer service, it was no big deal to them.  When asked how long it would take two get both shipping return labels (Since I never got the first one, and the new parts, they said it would take a week or so.  Funny, they told me my last order was already shipped when I called them on Friday March 15th.  The order will be there on Monday or Tuesday they said.  I called back asking for a tracking number.  Checked it.  It shipped an hour or so after I called that same Friday, and was reported to arrive according to Fed Ex on Thursday.  Fed Ex was right.  Be extremely cautious in dealing with this company.

Good intentions, bad execution.

The problem with this company is the same as other web based parts suppliers.  They are middle men.  I ordered a pair of mirrors from them by phone and was assured the parts I ordered would fit.  I Stated more than once the year/make/model and the fact that I had used another site and had the wrong parts sent and did not want this happening again.  After getting the parts way ahead of schedule I was a little shocked.  Since they were in California, I was amazed that it shipped by ground in 3 days to me in Maryland.  I opened the box and right away I knew there was a problem.  Not only were the parts the wrong manufacturer, they are the wrong year and model.  The parts came from a warehouse in Virginia, not from California.  When I called and explained the situation, I was directed to take pictures of the factory part, the parts they sent, the box, and e-mail it to their customer service team.  Curious, I looked at my credit card statement and found they have two charges for tow different amounts.  I now am over three weeks without a mirror.  I have two sets of useless wrong mirrors (one from the first web site.) and a repair order from the local police that is due this coming Friday.  I will give them a chance to fix the situation, but I would encourage anyone who needs parts to either use e-bay, amazon, or some one you know to be reputable to order parts from.  I will update as to what kind of response they give me.  I hope they make things right, I'll post the results either way.

Time to Educate YOURSELF

AUTHOR: Aftermarket_Expert - (United States of America)

Wow, have you ever ordered a body kit before? Have you ever ordered aftermarket, "off-road and show use only" products before? Unless you spend $5000 or more on a bodykit, you are purchasing a bodykit that will need modifications to ensure perfect fitment. Most ALMOST direct fit kits are $10K or more. Go to SEMA and ask around. People that regularly build show cars, and off road cars are never found complaining on these web sites, you know why that is? It's because they are informed, and know what to expect. THIS IS AFTERMARKET, NOT OEM!!!! Wake up and smell the labor charges.

Bodykits are made for professional installation, would you like to know why? It's because they take effort to fit perfectly on a vehicle. Andy's is just a middle man, and if what you say they told you is true, then I wouldn't trust what they told me. But I don't need to ask "if this will fit my car perfectly" Because I already know it will need fabrication to install. Common knowledge for lots of people, but not you, so you need to study before you try and buy things for your car.

And guess what, they sell Extreme Dimensions body kits, not Andy's body kits, so you could have done your own research, instead of trusting someone who is trying to make money off of you. STOP TRUSTING PEOPLE ON THE PHONE AND RESEARCH YOUR d**n SELF!!!!! You'd find out ED bodykits take a lot of effort to install, and that Sarona takes forever to ship, and that VIP bodykits need a lot of surface prep.

DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!!!!! Why would some customer service rep know the ins and outs of something YOU want. He doesn't have any interest in that body kit. YOU HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR YOURSELF. This is the internet, and all the information you need is on here. Personal Accountability, stop blaming others. If they would have done an exchange, your replacement, would have been almost exactly the same.

I don't work for Andy's, I work for one of their competitors, so it would benefit me to pile on these guys, but thats not where the issue is. It sucks they lied and it took so long, I agree, but these are made to order, and they only contact through e-mail, or automated computer system. They don't just have them sitting in a box ready to ship, then decide to ignore you. Seriously, do your own research. Or, just please, do some research, to prevent you from badmouthing a process, that you just don't know how it works.
