International Speakers Bureau, ISN, Book A Speaker, Innovators Group, Inisight Pub, David Wright claims to promote speakers to event planners, but does NOT follow through -- I wasted my money! Sevierville Tennessee

I have taken the trouble to meet representatives of the International Speakers Network, have ordered publicity materials from them, and attended one of their trainings. I can say I am extremely impressed with this company. The owner, David Wright, in my mind, is one of the most brilliant men I have ever met. He has built multi-million dollar businesses for 50 years, and generously shares how others can do it without reservation. He is a man of stunning Christian faith and values of honesty and integrity that are rare indeed.

Not only did I learn valuable information at the ISN training, but it has literally changed my life. The fee to join this organization was well worth what I paid. They do offer products and services of much better quality than I have found elsewhere to help speakers promote themselves, and at much lower prices. I saw their dedication to the speakers attending the conference, and met many speakers who testified to owing much of their six figure incomes to this spectacular organization.

It may be that not everyone gets bookings from ISN, but if you are sitting back as a speaker and waiting for others to get you jobs, you are not likely to be successful with our without this company.

Personally, I am grateful for my association with ISN and look forward to continuing this relationship for a lifetime.

I believe if you are serious about developing or expanding your speaking career, this organization will accelerate your success substantially, as they have mine.

I stumbled across this report today and I just had to come to the defense of this company.

First: some clarity because one way a person may look at something like this is that ISN is a company that keeps taking peoples money and changing it's name. I have dealt with this company for several years and all money paid to them was money well spent.

The corporate name is The Innovator's Group, Inc.- It is a MARKETING firm that specializes in working with speakers, trainers, coaches and consultants. They have many different divisions under the corporate name and they provide many services to speakers, trainers and consultants.

Let me explain: BookASpeaker.net is the website that lists speakers. Meeting planners can go there and research and find a speaker for hire. This would be the electronic arm of their company.

Then ISN (International Speakers Network) is the marketing part of the company. They provide marketing materials and programs in order to generate bookings for speakers. They also have a booking division. There are many benefits. Check it out for yourself at www.isnworks.com

Then there is Insight Publishing. This is the publishing division of the company where you can publish a book of your own or co-author books with other authors.

As a customer I have had nothing but results from the things that David Wright (the CEO) has taught me about marketing myself. The Marketing programs are well thought out and they do work!

As a speaker: I want to be marketed to people that I am a fit for...however I realize even though I am a fit for an organization...there are various others with different topics and different presentations that are a fit for those organizations as well.

As I see it: the person that wrote this report didn't necessarily agree with the particpants that were sharing a marketing campaign with them because they did not speak to the same audience. To me: I would think that this may work to my advantage and wouldn't complain a bit.

I know that ISN has promoted marketing campaigns in the past and when they did not fill the project in a set amount of time...they pulled members from the database that "fit" and included them at no charge in order to complete the project. They know what the meeting planners want (they are the ones who are in contact with them daily)..and if they think a member fits the bill: we ought to trust their judgement.

Their job is to MARKET you...and so what if a couple of people included in your campaign didn't pay....they were probably good speakers who have proven themselves, followed advice and promote the company that they are a member of. (ISN if you are listening: I will take a free slot in your next campaign- LOL)

"Burned By ISN" also stated that he or she was sent a proof with no contact information on it. I would ask: do you really think they have stayed in business since 1990 by not including their contact information??? You did state that it was a "PROOF"...my guess us that the campaign was not sent to meeting planners with NO CONTACT INFO.

I checked the BBB myself: only 1 complaint has not been resolved in the past 3 years: My guess is that the person that filed out this rip off report is the ONE! Knowing the current staff the way I do (from the President down): I just can't believe what I read. I think we do not have the entire story here and that's sad.

Please Consumers....DO NOT let this ONE negative person keep you from doing business with this company. If you are a seasoned speaker OR just starting out...Please consider letting these folks help you the way they have helped me.

You won't regret it!

They are also known as the Innovator's Group, ISN, Insight Publishing, and BookaSpeaker.net.

I can't pass judgment on other groups with similar names, only the International Speakers Network in Sevierville, Tennessee.
