On the 31st of February 2008 I placed an order through the WhoBlackpool website. I paid through their checkout service and the money was debited from my debit card.

I waited.

On the 6th of March I contected WhoBlackpool via e-mail, as the status of my order was still pending. I was told in a reply that the item was dispatched and it should be with me the next week.

Eleven days later (17th March) the item still had not arrived. I e-mailed again to ask where it was. This e-mail went unanswered and on the 21st of March I e-mailed again and recieved a reply on the 24th of March stating that I had been issued with a refund.

I thought this was the end of the matter, but upon checking my statement I found that WhoBlackpool had not refunded me the full amount, so I e-mailed again on the 25th of March asking why I had not been refunded the full amount. This e-mail also went unanswered.

On the 31st of March, now over a month since I placed the order, I wrote again to WhoBlackpool asking why I had not recieved a full refund. The reply I recieved today (April 1st) stated that WhoBlackpool has ceased trading and the new company could not issue me a refund for previous transactions.

It would appear, from checking their website, Who have recently become Toys Inc and Who has ceased to trade. I do not belive they have many of the items on their website in stock hence many orders being unfulfilled. I visit this shop every few months, while in Blackpool, and note much of the stock online is never available to buy directly from there.

I have, through much investigation, obtained a telephone number for Mr Simons so users can contact him directly with any problems they may have in regard to orders 07889813994.

A disgraceful company

This is an awful company, they use so many tactics to steal from people it's unbelievable. I wish I had done a thorough google search before purchasing with them as the proof of their many online thefts is clear. I ordered several items from them a couple of months ago and got weeks of being bounced from pillar to post tryi g to get a refund when they told me the stock had run out. What I realise now is that they are very clever at keeping money from getting to you, and will string out the refund time so you can't make a valid paypal claim. I have also noticed that all negative reviews online are removed (as wAs one of mine on another website) because they contact the webhost to remove them.

If you notice also, all of the positive responses here or on any review site, they're all written by the same person! It's very clear, just look carefully! Don't believe any of the positive posts you read, it's just a smokescreen by a very devious operation.

DO NOT RISK BUYING FROM THIS STORE!!!

Ordered from this company 4 months ago and still waiting for the goods to be delivered. I called them up so many times, everytime I called a women called Cathy said goods will be in stock in two weeks, in the end I asked for a refund, she said refund will be on the way, but never got it! Called back again told them no refund received, she said will look into it, but never got back to me. Then phone calls went silent, and no rely to email either. They took my money and never sent the goods and refund! If you send them payment, they will drag it until your paypal dispute time runs out, so you can't get your money back through paypal. I have reported them to standing standard! They are thieves!!

Same story as always with this company

same story, different customer. if you research this website properly before you buy you will see it time and time again. maybe the recession hit them hard so they have to do this to make money?


in my experience with this company if they don't have the item in stock, which they don't for many of the items on their website, you obviously won't be getting it. or your refund.


they will just ignore all of your efforts to get your money back from them. and get your reviews deleted off of websites so it looks like their aren't as many!


they have hundreds of happy customers - true. but those are just the ones they decided not to rip-off. you could be one of the MANY unlucky ones, are you willing to take the gamble? just go to another website with good reviews.

What a joke get a grip the guys at who work bloody hard and offer great service one of the few fantastic shops in blackpool they also fly the flag for our town its ok for people to sit miles aways having a pop do you not know a few words said without thinking about what you are saying can ruin a business and cost jobs......please buy buy buy in "WHO" we trust

i have good knowledge of this company there general practice is very poor up to the point of being immoral or sometimes even illegal more so recently if you take a quick visit to companies house you will discover that kaled ltd the old owners of the who are as follows director david simon secretary cathrine simpson the new company zygondayz director cathrine simpson secretary david simon looks like the orig owner went into insolvency i would hope this info helps in solving your problem with the "new" company.

So I'm a bit dense and made a mistake on the date - that does not mean that I am making a false report.

I have bank statements and e-mails from whoblackpool that show what I am saying is the truth. You offer no evidence at all, but speculation and personal grievance that I have made a report concerning a place you worked in.

this seems to be a false attack, i am an ex member of staff of who, and they work really hard and honest. if you look at the statement from the aggrevied you will see they say it was purchased on feb 31st to my knowledge there has never and probably will never be a february 31st. the whole transaction seems to be for 3.00 !!!! what a total ridiculous waste of time.
i feel really sorry for the guys at whoblackpool as they truly were one of the only shops that actually cared about their customers and were very ethical in everything they did.
