I cut an ad from the Merchandiser Publications that came in the mail on April 13, 2006. This ad was for powerwashing a deck. I phoned the company the evening of the 13th to inquire about their charges to clean a deck on a townhouse. The young lady I spoke with gave me the information and scheduled an appointment for the afternoon of April 14th.

On the morning (9:00 AM) of the 14th, I called the company to cancel that appointment and reschedule. My call was transferred to a young man. He explained that, I could not cancel the appointment because they needed a 24 hour notice. I told him that there was no 24 window between making the appointment. In fact, the appointment was made late the day before. He became very rude, saying that I would have to pay $50 for cancelling and I would have to reschedule for the next day (April 15). He, in a very threatening way said that they had my social security number and it would go on my credit. I continued to tell him that I only needed to reschedule the appointment. Well, this made matters worse. He told me that I couldn't "screw-up peoples schedules to accommodate me".

Although this person did not understand what my emergency situation was, he fail to hear anything other than himself speaking. He rant and raved for 15 minutes on the phone about paying for a service and failed to ask me why I wanted to reschedule.

I personally don't think people should be treated this way, nor spoken to in this matter. He could certainly use some control management and business personality courses.

B & A POWERWASHING Desperate Need of a 2006 Appointment Book

This is in response to Mr. Frye's rebuttal. I am more than sure you would have liked for me to have made that appointment on April 11,2006, but unfortunately that was not possible. Your Ad did not come in the mailer until April 13, 2006, at least that's the date on the top of the mailer.
Now, as I explained the appointment was made after 3:00 PM and scheduled for April 14th in the afternoon.
I have no reason to state information that is erroneous. The very rude person that I spoke with told me that they had no way of contacting the Technician, and of course that was not true. Your Technician never came to my house. There was a message attached to my door with a envelope attached. This was placed on the door at 9:45 AM.
Please check with your Receptionist to validate this information. She is in need of an updated appointment book. Preferrably one for the year 2006.

The customer had scheduled April 11th for a Deck Power Wash & Seal to be done between the hours 9-11 for April 14th. The customer called in to cancel at 930am after our tech was already on route to her house.

We tried to explain to the customer we blocked out 3 hours of our day to take care of her deck and that our tech was already on the way from Chantilly to Springfield.

We tried to explain to her that we do not need her to be home to do the work and we can also leave an invoice. That her canceling the day of the job really hurts our business and our schedule.

She did not seem to mind that she was doing either. We also explained to her that we need 24 hour notice or there is a $50.00 Fee.

Which she is now being billed for and this is why she filed the rip off report.

Please let us know how we can remove this report. It is unfair and unjust that people are allowed to stain the reputation a reputable company.
