We hired "Miles Riggs" to do somme electrical work on a residential family home we were building in Lake Forest, first time he had done any work for us, his bid wasn't the lowest but was reasonable enough, he said he will start the job quickly, we drew up a contract with all the stuff he is supposed to do & the final cost, he told us he will have additional people to help him wrap it up quickly, sounded good, he started within a couple days later just by himself, when asked, he said the other guys were completing a job and will join him soon, we never seen anyone else working with him, but we allowed him to continue anyway, it took him a while to complete the roughing, his work was standard, but to everyone surprise, including the inspector, he never bothered pulling a permit, we thought that was odd, when asked, he said he will take care of it, after completing the roughing, and even before any inspection, he presented us with an invoice requesting a draw for half of the contract amount, he also jacked up the initial contract amount by $1, 500.00 saying that he encountered some unexpected problems while wiring, and some materials increase in cost, of course we refused to pay any additional cost, that is when the dispute started, he became very angry, refused to negotiate, saying that he will not get a permit nor allow any inspection, and suddenly we are having a problem, because unless there is an inspection, we will not be allowed to insulate & drywall the walls & ceilings,  there was a deadline and we had to move quickly, we filed a complaint with the department of plans, permits & inspections, they told us there is not a thing they can do about it, so we got one of our electricians to pull a permit & file for an inspection, then fired
"Miles Riggs" and didn't payi him, he started calling 20 times a day, creating a lot of problems, posting nasty stuff all over the internet, lies, lies & lies, but most people aren't so gullible & naive, they know better especially when they read what he wrote, didn't make any sense, 
"Zimmer & Kohl Contracting Co." is in business for over 40 years (No accident there), serving both Kentucky & Indiana, well rated & accredited by the "Better Business Bureau" with a gross of millions of Dollars each year, we won't cheat anyone out of their pay, we certainly value our employees, workers & subs, without whom " Zimmer & Kohl Contracting Co." will not exist as a company, 
We finally paid Mr. Mills Riggs in full on june 2010 through one the company's attorneys,
