American Savings Discount Club Provided Checking account # for $100 fee I called on 09/01/01 to cancel and given cancel #97522825 but they still withdrew $100 Portsmouth Virginia .....

Contacted by phone offering membership that would include discounts and loan availability. Provided checking account # for $100 fee. Before transaction was to take place I called on 09/01/01 to cancel transaction. Was given a confirmation # of 97522825 to confirm membership was cancelled.

I was told a form would be mailed to process the refund and the refund would not processed until form was received. I received the refund form and returned it via certified mail. I later received the green certified mail card that had a signature confirming that it was received.

Began to call 888-297-4447 to follow up only to learn the phone number was no longer valid. This was when I knew I was ripped off!
