I am disputing the charges shown above for the reason that the services provided was based on false advertisement (see attached). I booked this service based on the quote provided. I was diligent in searching and getting quotes from three other moving companies but decided on Continental Express primarily for the cost and the service included in the price quoted. For example: 1) FREE wrapping of furniture with moving pads 2) FREE uses of tape, bubble wrap and shrink wrap 3) NO extra charge for stairs and/or elevator (the apartment was on the second floor). I booked for two men at $70/hr, minimum 3 hrs.

I indicated that all furniture and big items have to be moved. There were about 18 items to move and I was confident three hours would be enough. One of the men proceeded wrapping the couch (an old, smelly, broken couch). I told him that it was not necessary to wrap the couch as it is going to be discarded. He responded that he has to because it's the rule (or procedure) and he proceeded to wrap the couch. I was also told any electronic items have to be wrapped. I asked why, and again he said something about rules. I did not argue with him because 1) he did not speak fluent English and his helper did not speak English at all; 2) I will not argue with two men much bigger than me; I am an older woman about 4 11 tall, and was alone in the apartment. Please remember the quote given to me about FREE shrink wrap.

When we reached my home I was shocked to learn the total charges were close to $840.00! More than half of the charges were for the wrapping, a whopping $453.89! The wrapping took 2 hours! I should not have been charged for the wrapping since I did not request the wrapping and they still chose to wrap all items.

I am totally disgusted at this people. I filed a complaint everywhere I can to let the public know this fraudulent business practice. I am filing a claim at small claims court and filed a complaint at FTC and will file some more until I am satisfied. I've seen so many complaints in different sites tht I think we can file a class action suite against this business.
