Ripoff Report Verified Safe

All cel phone companies, according to my experience, are garbage. In my own mobile frustrations, I have scanned several blogs about T-Mobile, Virgin Wireless and others. They are each equal to a hot, steaming pile of dung, strategically pushed out in that specific spot to land on mobile customers. I will not try to port out from my existing carrier again unless I jwin the lottery and have twenty hours of time to donate, while listening on hold to a four-minute loop of elevator music. I will not attempt to resolve a customer service issue when every CSR tells me something different, and ever more differing, from call to call. Trying to get an answer from those folks is like telling a secret to one person and asking them to tell it to the person next to them.

Twenty five CSRs later, the last one hasn't got a ***ing clue what the issue is or how to resolve it. In fact, the last CSR now has a new set of possible clues to finding out what the problem might be, contrary to my explanation of what the problem actually is. Of course, the system is undergoing maintenance and no account information will be available until next week. I will not subject myself to rude and disrespectful CSRs whose brand of performance is of no concern to their supervisors. F***you, customer service.

Short story of my own experience:
Bought a phone online, called to activate it the day it arrived. Was told porting an old number to the new phone takes 2-5 days. Fine, just leave my old phone alone until the new phone is ready to go. CSR assured me there would be no downtime for my phone number. Lie #1. My old phone was disconnected the same day I ordered Virgin Mobile to port the number in.

A week without a phone. I called to get my porting escalated. I was then told my original porting had been cancelled by ME via the Internet. Lie #2. I told them I was sending their phone back and to cancel the porting. They refused to transfer me to the return department to get a required RMA. Why? They said I had purchased that telephone in December 2007 at a Target store in Florida. I live in f@#$ing Washington state! And therefore, since I obviously was lying, they would not refund my money once they got their phone and accessories back, evgen if I included a copy of the packing slip dated July 10, 2008.

Virgin Mobile was half-assed about business, insulting to a big degree, and proved to me they are not worthy of any business. I could care less about the $55 they owe me, I will just have it removed from my credit card. I called my original carrier after figuring out they weren't the worst out there, and they had me back in my old phone, re-ported and live once again in two hours.
