i was very apprehensive about refinancing but since the rates were going down i thought i would give it a try. i would have been better off leaving it along, at least i wouldn't be owing $1,238.46 or going from my original payment of $1928.00 to the refi amount of 1853.00 then since i owe the 1200.00, now it is $1958.00, go figure.

when i started this process with scott smith of allied, he stated it was streamline, all i wanted to do was lower my payments. he stated there was no down payment, etc and i believed him, i stated i didn't have any extra money, since i have two daughters in college.
no problem, i thought. at closing all i needed was my month's mortgage payment and i got a free month.

now i get a notice from my new finance co. telling me that my escrow is short $1200.00. my payoff was 237k and according to the new settlement the new balance is 240k. who took my 1200.00. Scott was no help, he told me contact the escrow company myself because he didn't want to mess things up. so when i finally received a callback from Marco of Bedrock title, he explained that a payment of 261.09 x 2 was made to county taxes {spoke to karen at the p.g.co tax office, no such payment was made}, this amount still doesn't equal $1238.46. He states
'Oh, a mistake was made and there is nothing we can do about it' You've got to be kidding me, mistakes can be corrected, he was supposed to call me this evening, haven't heard from him.
