I hired R. C. Safran to decorate room for my son's Bar Mitzvah with centerpiece balloon clusters and a lighted balloon arch on stage. He gave me a price that was amazing, so I went with his company. I confirmed everything one week before and at that time he convinced me to add more balloons to make the room 'less empty'. I mailed him an additional check to cover those costs.

Guess what? The room was very, very 'empty', because R.C. Safran never showed up! When I called right before our services, he said he'd leave the wedding he was at in ten minutes and come, because his employees seemed to disappear. But, hours later, R.C. Safran never left the wedding. He never showed up and my entire Bar Mitzvah party was an empty room. A once in a lifetime event spoiled by a liar and bad business man. I spent a year planning for this and this insensitive, incompetent liar put a huge dent in the memory.

Subsequesntly, Mr. Safran has repeatedly lied on the phone to me about returning my money. I was planning to take him to small claims court, but first kept trying otherwise. He would constantly lie about dropping off a cashier's check (because he had spent my money and had no money left in the bank!), and then he would not show up. Finally, nearly a month later, my son's father got him to meet at a gas station and give us cash.

Stay away from R. C. Safran and his Family Affair company. It is a nightmare no one needs.
