My mom went to Saturn of Smithtown the other day and was totally taken. Was quoted 1 rate of 11%, but if bought the warranty & such the rate would be 7%. My moms score is 808 FICO. They also charged her $1599 for some window etching that she had no idea because they said it was included already in the price for free. She was told to not pay cash for the vehicle now, but to pay it off after making 3 payments. I just read in the paper about this happening at 2 other Long Island Dealers. Be careful with these scumbags and make sure you go in prepared.
I thought Saturn was a hassle free trusting environment, We complained to Saturn Headquarters and the General Manager of the dealership so we will see what happens. The Finance manager blew us off so we will see if his boss handles the situation fairly. I believe in making a profit, everyone should but this was highway robbery.
