Atlanta, GeorgiaFor my birthday this year, I decided to go to Agatha's, a restaurant that does a theater performance while you eat. I called the week before to make reservations for 10 and told them I wasn't sure how many people would come and tha tI obviously wasn't paying for all of them. The lady was very nice and said 'Of course not, it's your birthday! They can pay in cash, don't worry about it. I just need your credit card to hold the reservation.' I was not informed of any cancellation policy.
The night of my birthday, only four of us showed up. I was bummed as it was that six friends bailed, but even more bummed the next day when the lady at Agatha's left a message on my voicemail telling me she was charging me $360 for the friends who didn't come!
I called to ask her why she would do that and she was very snippy and said it was just their 'policy' and nothing could be done about it.
I don't understand how I can be charged money for nothing! Plus, I didn't sign anything. I will NOT be going back to Agatha's. I think it's a very shady way to run a business
