THIS IS AN HONEST ASSESMENT OF THE COMPANY THAT I HAD A CHANCE TO SEE HOW IT WORKS IN A SHORT TIME AND FELT IT NECESSARY TO SHARE FOR NEW AGENTS, OR SEASONED AGENTS, OR NEW TO THE BUSINESS AGENTS TO HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE A DECISION IF NAA IS A PLACE FOR YOU.
FIRST, INDEPENDENT INSURANCE AGENTS IS NOT WHAT THEY ARE ABOUT, IT IS A CAPTIVE SITUATION, YOUR INDEPENDENT TO THE POINT THAT YOUR ON THE HOOK FOR ALL OF YOUR OWN COSTS, BUT YOUR A CAPTIVE AGENT ON THE LIFE SIDE OF INSURANCE, AND IF YOU READ YOUR CONTRACT YOU WILL SEE THAT YOU ARE BASICALLY SIGNING OVER YOUR BUSINESS AND PUTTING NAA AS YOUR UPLINE WITH ALL THEIR CONTRACTED CARRIERS, REGARDLESS IF YOU EVEN FILL OUT CONTRACTING PAPERWORK FOR EVERY CARRIER, THIS IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW BECAUSE IF YOU EVER DECIDE TO LEAVE, NAA COULD STOP YOU FOR 2 YEARS FROM BEING CONTRACTED WITH ANY OF THESE CARRIERS. IF YOU GO AND WRITE BUSINESS OUTSIDE OF NAA, THEY COULD ALSO BE ENTITLED TO TAKE YOUR COMMISSIONS, WHETHER THEY HAVE DONE THIS, I DONT KNOW, BUT IT COULD HAPPEN.
ALSO, THE CONTRACT DOES NOT STATE ANYWHERE THAT YOU WILL GET ANY OVERRIDE ON ANY BUSINESS, OR ANY OF THE BUSINESS OF OTHER AGENTS THAT YOU BRING IN. IT ALSO STATES THEY CAN TERMINATE YOU AT ANY TIME FOR NO REASON, HMMM, SO WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO DO THAT, WELL, BECAUSE THEY NOW OWN YOUR BUSINESS, BUT REGARDLESS, THEY OWN IT ANYWAY, SO DOES NOT REALLY MATTER, BUT GOOD TO KNOW.
INTREGITY AND HONESTY OF THIS COMPANY WOULD BE FOR THEM TO ALLOW FOR YOU TO SEE WHAT CONTRACT YOUR SIGNING, OR AT THE VERY LEAST SEND YOU A COPY ONCE YOU HAVE SUBMITTED MINIMAL INFORMATION, BUT ENOUGH INFORMATION IN ALLOWING THEM TO ATTACH YOUR SIGNATURE TO PAPERWORK YOU HAVE YET SEEN. VERY SCARY!!!! AND SHOULD BE A PRACTICE NOT ALLOWED IN THE INSURANCE BUSINESS, AND SOMETHING THAT I AM GOING TO BE GOING TO THE INSURANCE BOARD ON TO HAVE CHANGED. OUR BUSINESS IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN WITH GREAT PRIDE, AND INTREGITY, AND IF THE COMPANY YOUR REPRESENTING ISNT BEING UPFRONT AND HONEST WITH YOU ON HOW THEY OPERATE, THEN YOU NEED TO REALLY LOOK DEEPER INTO YOUR DECISION OF COMING ONBOARD WITH THIS COMPANY. I WAS FLAT OUT LIED TO ABOUT NAA BEING A CAPTIVE IMO, AND AS I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER TO NOT TRUST WHAT ANYONE TELLS YOU, THE PROOF IS IN THE CONTRACT, BUT AS MOST PEOPLE TEND TO BE TRUSTING OF OTHERS, YOU BELEIVE WHAT YOUR TOLD, SORRY, BUT TODAYS WORLD IS FULL OF GREED, GREED, AND MORE GREED, AND PEOPLE ARE JUST OUT FOR THEMSELVES, SO IN THIS BUSINESS YOU WILL FIND IT IN MANY COMPANIES, AND ITS WITH THE ONES THAT DONT WANT TO LET YOU OUT OF A CONTRACT IF THAT TIME CAME THAT YOU WANTED TO MOVE ON AND PART WAYS. THERE ARE MANY GREAT COMPANIES THAT WILL GIVE YOU ACCESS TO ALL MAJOR CARRIERS WTIH NO STRINGS ATTACHED, DO YOUR RESEARCH, I CAN SUGGEST A FEW IF YOU EMAIL ME, WHICH I DONT BENEFIT FROM, BUT MY WAY OF HELPING NEW AGENTS MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION WITH ALL THE INFORMATION THAT IS THE TRUTH.
NAAA DOES STATE THAT THEY WILL PROVIDE YOU A COPY OF THE CONTRACT EITHER BY EMAIL, MAIL, OR ON A WEBSITE. BUT YOU WOULD NOT KNOW THIS UNTIL YOU FIND YOUR CONTRACT ON THE WEBSITE, AND THERE WOULD NOT BE ANY ISSUES WITH THIS PROCESS IF YOU WERE TO KNOW THIS WHEN YOUR SIGNING UP BY STATING YOU WILL FIND A COPY OF YOUR CONTRACT ON THE NAALEADS.COM WEBSITER, UNDER MY CONTRACTS, THEY DONT GIVE YOU THAT INFORMATION, SO WHEN YOUR NEW, THE NAA WEBSITE IS SO OVERWHELMING, THE STAFF SIDETRACKS YOU WTIH MANY OTHER THINGS, THAT I WOULD GATHER MANY PEOPLE HAVE NEVER SEEN THE CONTRACT. OH, AND IN THE CONTRACT, IT DOES STATE THAT IF YOU DONT RESPOND THEN YOU ACCEPT THIS CONTRACT. SO, IN THIS BUSINESS THE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT SHOULD NOT ALLOW FOR ANY IMO, GA, OR INSURANCE COMPANY TO HAVE AGENTS PUT A SIGNATURE TO SOMETHING THAT THEY DID NOT PERSONALLY READ. IT IS WRONG ON MANY LEVELS, AND SHOULD BE PROHIBITED. SO AGAIN, CHANGES NEED TO TAKE PLACE IN OUR INDUSTRY, AND I AM LUCKY TO HAVE CONNECTIONS THAT WILL HELP WITH THIS AND SAVE NEW AND SEASONED AGENTS FROM BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THIS PRACTICE.
NAA HAS DONE SOME GREAT THINGS FOR NEW AGENTS, AND THEY HAVE A GREAT PLATFORM OF MANY THINGS IN PLACE THAT CAN HELP WITH A NEW AGENT, BUT IS IT WORTH THE RISK OF WHAT LIES AHEAD IN THE FUTURE, BECAUSE IN THE END, THE GAME DOES END IF YOUR NOT WORKING AND PROMOTING ETHICS, AND HONESTY WITH CLIENTS OR AGENTS.
AS A SEASONED AGENT, THE MOST DISTURBING PART I FIND IS THAT MANY AGENTS ARE PUTTING PEOPLE IN POLICIES THAT ARE NOT THE BEST BECAUSE OF THE QUICK UNDERWRITING TIMES THAT SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES HAVE WITH LESS HEALTH QUESTIONS, WHICH MAKES A POLICY HIGHER, SO THEREFORE THIS IS WHERE INTREGITY COMES IN, AS A INSURANCE AGENT, IT IS OUR DUTY TO OUR CLIENTS TO PUT THEM IN THE RIGHT POLICIES IN REGARDS TO THEIR HEALTH. THIS IS NOT WHAT THEY ENCOURAGE, OR TEACH, AND SO YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE A CHOICE THAT IS IT WORTH YOUR REPUTATION OF TAKING THE ROAD OF LEAST RESISTANCE FOR THE QUICK BUCK, OR TAKING THE TIME TO PUT YOUR CLIENT IN THE BEST POLICY REGARDLESS IF IT TAKES A FEW WEEKS LONGER, OR ASKING YOUR CLIENT A FEW MORE QUESTIONS ON THEIR HEALTH. BECAUSE IT WILL BE ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE ANOTHER AGENT THAT DOES COME IN BEHIND YOU, SEES THAT YOUR CLIENT COULD HAVE PAID LESS DUE TO ANOTHER COMPANY, AND YOUR CREDABILITY AS AN AGENT WILL START TO COME TO LIGHT. THIS HAPPENS WITH EVERY COMPANY AND WHY INSURANCE AGENTS GET A BAD REPUTATION....IF YOU WANT TO READ A COPY OF AN AGENT THAT WAS OR MAYBE STILL WITH NAA YOU CAN SEE THE TACTICS USED TO SELL INSURANCE, AND MAKE A DECISION ON HOW THAT APPROACH CAN EFFECT YOUR LICENSE, BECAUSE IN THE END, IT ONLY TAKES ONE PISSED OFF CLIENT TO EXPOSE THE 10 PREVIOUS OTHERS...AS THIS HAPPENS EVERYWHERE, THIS IS JUST ONE CASE THAT PERTAINS TO NAA, AND SOME OF THE SALES TECHNIQUES THAT I HAVE HEARD USED FROM NAA LEADERS, SO AGAIN, YOUR CHOICE TO MAKE...STATE OF NEW HAMPHIRE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT, UNDER LEGAL NEWS ON HOME PAGE---DOCKET NUMBER: INS NO. 12-008-EP MICHAEL S BETTENCOURT, THIS IS PUBLIC INFORMATION, AND SOMETHING THAT COMES UP WHEN YOU GOOGLE NAA AND LEGAL ISSUES, YOU JUST NEED TO GO AND SEE THE FINAL OUTCOME OF WHAT HIS SALES TACTICS AND APPROACH COST HIM, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, THIS BEHAVIOR IS SOMETHING THAT IS A DISGRACE TO OUR BUSINESS....
I HAVE READ THE MANY REPORTS FROM AGENTS, AND AS I CAN AGREE WITH MANY OF THE THINGS SAID, I BELEIVE THAT THERE ARE GREAT PEOPLE IN THIS COMPANY TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING, AND THERE IS ALWAYS GOOD AND BAD IN ANYTHING, ITS UP TO US AS PEOPLE TO DECIDE WHERE DO YOU DRAW THE LINE.....
I WAS LUCKY TO FIGURE IT ALL OUT BEFORE I GOT STARTED, BUT THAT WAS BECAUSE I HAD THE BACKGROUND TO RAISE EYEBROWS AND QUESTIONS ON A FEW THINGS THAT DIDNT SEEM RIGHT, SO WHEN THOSE QUESTIONS WERE LEFT TO BE IGNORED AND DOWNPLAYED, OR ONE COMPLAINT SAID IT PERFECTLY, ANDY IS AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE THAT IS OF USE TO HIM, IT WAS NOT MY EXPERIENCE, BUT MY SHORT EXPERIENCE WITH HIM WAS ONE THAT HIS EGO IS LARGE, HE IS DRIVEN BY MONEY, AND THE PEOPLE THEY TARGOT ARE THE ONES THAT ARE DOWN AND OUT AND WANT A BETTER LIFE, AND ANDY ALBRIGHT IS NOT AFRAID TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH MONEY AND POWER HE HAS, THE BEAUTY OF THIS IS BECAUSE OF ALL THE HARD WORK AGENTS DO, WHILE A NEW AGENT IS OUT HUMPING THEIR a*s AND PAYING FOR LEADS, AN AGENT IS GETTING 55 %, MR. ANDY ALBRIGHT IS GETTING AN ADDITIONAL 80 UP TO 110 PERCENT ON THAT AGENT, YES, HE SHOULD HAVE TONS OF MONEY, AND I AM SURE HE IS SWIMMING IN IT BECAUSE THIS PAST CONFERENCE THAT I ATTENDED, NOTHING WAS FREE, NOT COFFEE, NOT SODAS, AND DINNERS WERE AN ADDITIONAL 300 PLUS, AND THEY EVEN CHARGED YOU FOR THEIR LEAD CERTIFICATION THAT THEY REQIRE YOU TO TAKE TO BUY LEADS, SO, ANDY ALBRIGHT IS NOT A WINNER IN MY BOOK, HE IS AN OPORTUNIST THAT IS PREYING ON THE NAIVE PEOPLE. OH, AND I WILL CLOSE THIS WITH, IF YOUR A CHRISTIAN, YOUR GOING TO THINK GOD LED YOU TO THE PROMISED LAND, BECAUSE THIS CONFERENCE STARTS OUT WITH THE PLEDGE OF ALLIGIANCE, SINGING OF THE NATIONAL ANTHEM, AND THEN BRINGING IN A VERY INSPIRATIONAL CHRISTIAN FAMILY THAT PROMOTES NAA, THE GOADS, SO IT CAN BE QUITE OVERWHELMING WHEN YOUR A CHRISTIAN BELIEVER.
SO MY CLOSING WORDS IS THAT I HOPE ONE DAY THAT NAA OPENS THEIR EYES TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE MAKING A GREAT LIVING OFF MANY HARD WORKING PEOPLE, THEY COULD DO THE RIGHT THING BY BEING TRANSPARENT ON HOW THE COMPANY IS REALLY RUN WITH THEIR CONTRACTS, HAVE A CONTRACT THAT IS INDICATIVE OF WHAT YOUR SALES PEOPLE IN THE HOME OFFICE TELL THE AGENTS THAT ARE WANTING TO JOIN THE GROUP, THAT YOUR A CAPTIVE AGENT, THAT THE CONTRACT DOES NOT STAND BEHIND OR EVEN MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT GETTING OVERRIDES ON ANY AGENT, SO IT WILL BE AT NAA DESCRECTION ON IF THEY DO PAY, WHICH READING THE RIPOFF REPORTS, OBVIOUSLY MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN BURNED....SO BEWARE AS YOUR ENTER INTO THIS BUSINESS WITH ANY COMPANY, AND NAA.

Just remember that when your reading all these comments, there is something to be said, a phone interview is nothing but someone telling you what will get you excited, but its lies, and the contract tells you the whole story, plus many of the complaints I have seen first hand! Good Luck with your decision, but there are many other great IMO to work for that are on the up and up. They will one day be exposed, it cant go on forever

"I pay for all of the coverages that they offer"
AUTHOR: VenusFlytrap - ()
SUBMITTED: Sunday, March 16, 2014
No, I"m NOT an employee of Aflac. But I have sold insurance, and I have few comments/feedback to your post. Maybe something I write can hel you.
1. You state, in your report that "I pay for all of the coverages that they offer." Really? You bought every single type of policy that Aflac offers in your state? I find that hard to believe; please correct this statement. Actually, I know it cannot be true, becaue their are 2 policies that cannot be purchased together (the Specified Health Event and the Hospital Indemnity Plan) because the plans overlap in alot of places, and purchasing them both would give the consumer "excess coverage."
2. You state that you became ill PRIOR to 10/1/13. I don't know which policy to which you are referring (you do not state which plan it is) but assuming it a Personal Short Term Disability plan, you admit having a pre-existing condidtion. In my state, if you are disabled and unable to perform the duties of your job due to a pre-existing conditions, you are not covered unless the disability starts 12 months after the effective date of the policy.
To put it bluntly; you aren't covered for pre-exsiting conditions for a year. And you need to remember that ANY insurance company can decide their own definiton of a "pre-existing condition." I'm nearly positive (again, not 100%, but close) that Afalc defines a pre-existing condition based on symptoms that existed, not a diagnosis.
For example, let's say you complained of severe headaches every day six months before you purchased a Disability policy. Your doctor made suggestions, such as cuffing our caffeine and/or alcohol, reducing time spent on the computer, exercising to reduce stress. You may or may not have complied with your doctor's suggestions...but 3 months after you applied for and were issued a Disability policy, you suffered a stroke.
I'm only speculating here (offering only my opinions, nothing more, nothing less) but in the above case, I'd expect the insurer to try and prove that the headaches were a symptoms of a pre-existing condition (leading to stroke) and therefore your claim would be denied. I would also expect that if your doctor told you the headaches were purely stress related and NOT indicative a an existing condition that leads to stroke, that you would APPEAL the insurance company's decision.
You might win that appeal.
in any case, you do not give enough details in your post for me to make suggestions that could help. What type of policy? Are you filing it yourself, or did you call the agent who orignially sold it to you and ask them for assistance? Did you call the local Aflac office in your town? Disability can only be purchased through your employer and deducted via payroll deduction; surely the Personnel Mgr at your place of employment has a contact number of sometone you can call, no?
At the very last, if I were you, I'd call Aflac Corporate Headqurteres (you can easily google it) and speak with a trained customer service representative. Tell them your story, and ask if there is any way to exepidte the processing of your claim.
Good luck! I truly do hope everything works out for you. My aunt had a disability policy wiht Aflac many years ago, and she was to work part-time and still collect 100% of her benefits. You might want to carefully read your policy to see if that feature is still active. Just a thought...

"Satonic?"
AUTHOR: VenusFlytrap - ()
SUBMITTED: Sunday, March 16, 2014
Hello,
Thanks for turning your CAP LOCK off! When you said that working for NAA was a "satonic" experience, did you mean "satanic?" As is satanism, as in Church of Satan?
That is very bold statement. NAA may have a poor business plan, employ questionable marketing strategies, and walk a fine line when telling their agents the truth, but that is a far cry from beign "Satanic."
Can you please elaborate on what you meant by this?
In my days as an independent insurance agent, I had contracts with many, many different carriers. No corperation is peferct. They all claim they have "the best rates," "the best value," "the best policies" and OF COURSE none of them tell the truth about WHY they are actually in business (to make money.)
They all claim to care deeply about people, families, values, etc, etc. In my opinion, they don't care AT ALL about families, only about sellikng enough policies to make a healthy profit, about showing good reveneu numbers so that they get a "BUY" rating (if they are traded publicly.) and keep their stockholders happy and holding onto their shares.
I tell folks all the time:
1. Every insurance company, every single, solitary one, is out to make a profit. And during the first 2 years (the contestability period for many policies, not just life insurance) all claims are going to be investigated and the company will try to find a legal reason to DENY paying that claim.
They will comb trhough outlines of coverage to find a loophole, they will scour the documentation they received looking for something, anything that is missing, they will request more information, etc. etc. The only chance the average policyholder has is if they have an honest, ethical, and hard-working agent who will advocate for them.
They are, imo, hard to find. Most insirance agents I've run across care about one thing and one thing only: The initial sales and their commissions. Service after the sale is seen as a pain the neck.
Oh, one word about the profit-thing. Blue Cross/Blue Shield, as least in my state, claims to be a non-profit company. In my opinion, this is done to avoid paying taxes. Their executives make ridiculously high salaries, and I know for a fact that finanical forecasters there earn well over $150K a year.
2. I may still possibly contract wtih NAA, but its a very slim possbility. VERY slim. I'm reading too many negative things about them, but I want to speak with a local agent who has worked with them for a few years.
I don't base my deicisions solely on things I read on the Internet...why? Because the average person is not very smart about insurance. They don't undersatnd how it works, they never think they need it (until they really do) and people often come on the 'net and write that they have been "ripped off by their insurance company. Usually this isn't true. More often, what is the case is that the person 1. didn't read their policy 2. didn't read the Limitations & Exclusions 3. Didn't ask the right questions 4. Is looing for more money than they deserve (based on the contract.)
Finally, I'll ask you again: could you please elaborate on why everone should "run as fast as you can" from NAA? Specific examples of why working with them is a bad idea would be great. I don't know who you are, your real name, where you live, or what you've got going on, so simply taking your advice wouldn't be wise.
But you've got my attention. Hope you answer thsi post...and thank you.

Phone interveiw wtih NAA
AUTHOR: VenusFlytrap - ()
SUBMITTED: Thursday, March 13, 2014
Hello,
I was recently contacted by NAA and spoke with Stephen Davies of The Davies group; he said they were the 2nd largest NAA broker.
1. First off, please consider reposting your original report but NOT in ALL CAPS. I could not read your report; it is very hard to read more than a few words in all captial letters, and surely, you must be aware of of the unwritten code of "internet posting etiquette." Posting in all caps is akin to shouting. Surely you would not want to shout your entire report, no?
2. Back to NAA. I will admit, I had a negative response to Mr. Davies. First off, he is only 3 years old, admits he never went to college, and brags, several times, about his "many, many years in the industry." Fifteen to be exact. That is IF he starts counting from age 18 on. I would not buy insurance (or anything of great important) from a teenager.
3. He also told me he makes "over a million dollars a year in ovverrides." In my opinion, he is not telling the truth. I simply do not beleve that a 33 year old kid w/no college education is a mllionaire. When is he making his own recruiting calls, if he is so incredibly wealthy?
4. I asked several direct questions. Instead of answering me directly, he tried to distract me by going off into different areas. For example, I asked him what he retention rate was. (ie. How many people, say per 100, that he contracts with, are still wth NAA a year later?) He anaswered by saying "You have to understand, blah, blah, blah." So I rephrased the questions (after all, he has only a high scvhool education..maybe he doesn't know what "retention rate" means.) I asked "how high is your turnover?" He answered "We had a great training program; people are selling policies within one week." Huh? Did he not HEAR me?
I asked a THIRD time "What is your turnover rate? Thsi time, he said "gee, I really don't know." He is the present of the company and he doens't know his turnover rate? That is appalling! Again, in my opinion, he was not telling the truth.
5. He talked about building a book of business, but then told me that, on Term Life Insurance (by far, the most commonly sold type of Life product) that NAA pays NO renewals. NONE. I asked him: how does an agent build a "book of business" if there are no renewals. Again, he didn't answer my question. I decided not to try again, because I was beginning to see a pattern of deception (again, just my opinion.)
6. I asked him what the commission rate was on various policies. He said he didn't know. I asked him what the renewal rate was on Whole Life. Again, he said he didn't know.
This is a man who brags about being a veteran in the industry, but he sure claims NOT to know a lot.
I have worked in the insurance industry before, as an independent agent. It is a very hard way to make a living. Sure you can network, and work your warm market (friends, family, business acquaintance) but ultimately, if you're going to make a full-time career out of selling anything, you HAVE to cold call. And cold calling is brutal; you need a very thick skin, dogged determination, and strong self discipline. Luckily I think I DO have all three. it ook me years in business to acquire these skills, but I have them.
Regarding the above, I asked about Leads. Do agents generate their own, does the compnay provide the, and if so, of what quality are they? Are they free, or does the agent pay? If the latter, does the company share the expenses?
More vague answerse. "For newbie agents, in the beginning, we give you leads for free. Later on you have to pay for them, but NAA splits the cost wtih you."
I asked him to define "in the beginning." In other words, exactly how LONG does the company give "newbies" free leads? Mr. Davies answer: "Um, well, um, you know, until you get going." Not a very good response, in my humble opinion. I pressed further. "How do you define "get going?"" I aksed him. "Um, well, um, it depends on the products you are selling." He did not elbaroate.
I am honest, and sometimes, quite blunt (but I'm also very polite. ) I said, Mr. Davies, if I may be candid with you, you don't seem interested in answering my question. I feel as if I have to pull the words out of your mouth." And then I said nothing. There was a long, awkward pause. And then he completely changed the subject.
So. My conclusions, based on all the above, plus the stuff I let out (basically, the whole phone "interveiw.")
1. I'm not impressped with Mr. Davies' professional knowledge or demeanor. For a guy who claims he makes a mllion dollars a year on ovverrides, he doesn't present himself well. He is hiring SALES people, and he could tno even sell himself, at least not to me.
2. The internet is full of disguntled ex-NAA employees. Most of these are sour grapes, and/or misconceptions. I think people look at insurance agents who are doing well and think "that's easy; I could do thaT!" By the time THEY see the agent, the appointment has been set and met. The hard work is over. The average person doesn't see the dark under-belly of sales...trying to get people to listen to you, talk to you, give you just 10 minutes of their time. It is absolutely, positively, NOT easy.
3. I'm on the fence about NAA. Seeing as the owner of this site, (ripoffreport.com) never removes any content (a policy I disagree with, but it is his site, and he can make up any rules he wants, as long as they don't break any laws.) , I will not reveal anything personal about myself, my background, skills, job experience, nada, zip, zilch.
But appreciate the change to read others opinions. Again, not to be annoying repetitive, but to the OP, PLEASE don't eer post such a long report in all CAPS. It is unreadable to many. Thank you!

Oh the stories I could tell you about Allwrong and his company
AUTHOR: EX- insurance agent with NAA - ()
SUBMITTED: Saturday, November 16, 2013
For the fun of it, I like to catch up on Andy Allwrongs stories... I too was there, won a trip to Portugal back in 07 with IOF and was loving NAA. Then I realized that I only netted $30K on a $100k production year, my very first and only year. By the time we had quit and hit the road of independcy we had qualified for the trip and went. It was hilarious, we hung out with 3 other couples who had also walked but wanted to go on vaca, we laughed at Allwrong and his followers. I hated the religion, I hated the lies but Portugal was nice.
So the good news, there are greener pastures, there are better options. WE have been fortunate enough to stay in the business, work in our Ppajamas on the phone exclusively and operate a successful brokerage offering all carriers and products in life, di, and annuities. We did over $150K last year and should exceed $200K this year with expenses less than 10%.
I am happy to chat with any one that want to learn how to be independent and help do whats in a clients best interest by underwriting them and evaluating if they should buy fully underwritten vs simple issue, instead of forcing them into simple issue products like Allwrong pushes.
