Lise Winicki Writes Bad Checks, Refuses To Pay Rent, Refuses to Vacate My Apartment, Lies, Los Angeles California

I wish that I would have been aware of this site prior to renting my apartment to Lise Winicki.  She moved in on October 2, 2014 and paid the first month's rent as well as the security deposit.  She talked a great game and presented herself as a sincere professional lady and a Buddhist.  She talked to me about meditation and how she wanted to live a Zen lifestyle.  I believed it all.

When it came time to pay the November rent, her check was returned due to insufficient funds.  Today is November 24th and I still cannot get her to make good on the bounced check.  I served her with a 3-Day Pay Rent or Quit and she refused to move out of my apartment.  Everyday it is a different story.

Last Friday she told me that she would move out by noon on November 28th and that I did not have to return any of her Security Deposit.  She also told me that I could show the apartment to possible new tenants during this week.  Today I received an email from her stating that she would possibly NOT be out by noon on the 28th, due to situations out of her control with her movers.  I have asked her twice to send me the name and contact information for her movers.  She refuses to provide it for me. I can see where this is going.

I have scheduled workers to begin at noon on the 28th, in an effort to return the unit to the rental market, in hopes of finding a new tenant during December...a very difficult time to rent.

Lise lives with no furniture (short of a small table that holds her computer) in the beautiful two bedroom apartment, sleeps on an air matress on the floor, has few belongings, a few clothes and dishes, as well as some books stored in the garage. She tells me that she bought a new Audi A-3, but for some reason it is nowhere to be found. She also told me that she ordered all new Knoll furniture for the aparment, but it has never been delivered.  She wanted to put new carpeting in the bedrooms, but bounced a check off of the carpet company and they refused to place the order.  It's all a scam! 

Lise Winicki broke the terms of our lease, bounced her rent check, refused to abide by the terms of the 3-Day Pay Rent or Quit and has the nerve to tell me to be "decent".  I welcome any previous landlords to contact me as soon as possible.  I will join the efforts to bring Lise Winicki to justice.  She is criminal and I don't want other property owners to be burned the way that I am being burned at this moment.
