I wanted to buy an e-book for English grammar to help me teach TEFL students. I put into Google search : "Cambridge English grammar e-book".  The first entry took me to ebookbrowsee.net.  This site showed me 2 English grammar books I could download for free.  Both of these links took me to the same site  - urbooklibrary.com.

I had to register at urbooklibrary.com inc. my debit card details for a 5 day free trial.  There were various assurances that no payments would be taken.

Once I did this, it took me to hisplay.net.  There was no mention of the books.  I searched the site but there were no grammar books.  In fact, it is a site which tries to sell DVDs. It is nothing to do with English language training.

I looked up the contact details.  There were UK and US national phone call numbers. I am not prepared to pay call charges.  There was an apparent email facility but nothing happened when I entered the nature of my enquiry.  There was no contact form or email address.

So I went to the cancellation options. I either had to call them or pay $1 for an instant cancellation. I did the latter.

I am very angry with Hisplay or whoever they are.  They wasted my time by producing scam pages about English grammar books which directed me to their DVD sales website. I had to register with them before I realised that they did not actually provide grammar books. Then I had to pay $1 to cancel or make a national rate call, which I was not prepared to do (who knows how long I would be on the line).

If they had offered an e-book for say up to £5, I would have been considered it.  I need it for my job.  They could have done some legitimate business with me. But, no, they preferred to scam a cancellation fee from me.
