THE COMPANY OPERATES IN CALIFORNIA BUT ITS HEADQUARTERS AND OFFICES ARE IN TEXAS.
Plains Exploration & Production Company which is one of the largest oil companies in California and even has their own ticker in the New York Stock Exchange (PXP), has recently hired David Cash Jr. as one of their equipment Operators of their company, Cash was lucky to receive this high paying job all thanks to his nuclear engineering degree from The University of California, Berkeley. But one must NOT forget that in 1997 David cash witnessed his friend Jeremy Strohmeyer rape and strangle to death a 7-year-old girl by the name of Sherrice Iverson. Cash did nothing, other than cheer his friend on while he was murdering the little girl. According to the Los Angeles Times, David Cash peered into a stall in a Nevada casino restroom and saw his best friend muffle the screams of a 7-year-old girl with his left hand and fondle her with his right. Cash was in the restroom for two minutes. He did not assist his friend, nor did he hinder him. Cash did not call for help; he just left as his friend shouted at the girl. According to some of Cashs friends, he bragged to them he witnessed the actual murder. Back then, there was no Good Samaritan law in Nevada, thus Cash got off the hook scotch free, while Jeremy was sentenced to life in prison without parole. The case received national notoriety and attention, and was one of the most highly televised trials of 1998.
Cash never showed an ounce of remorse towards little Sherrice, and in the weeks following Strohmeyer's arrest, Cash told the Los Angeles Times that he did not dwell on the murder of Sherrice Iverson. "I'm not going to get upset over somebody else's life. I just worry about myself first. I'm not going to lose sleep over somebody else's problems." He also told the newspaper that the publicity surrounding the case had made it easier for him to "score with women." During that interview Cash himself told Nora Zamichow of the Los Angeles Times that, just before he and Strohmeyer joined Cash's father for a car ride back to the young men's homes in Long Beach, Cash asked him if Sherrice had been sexually aroused. "Why would you ask if the little girl was aroused?" said the Times reporter. "I don't know, it's just the way I think," Cash answered.
During a separate interview with the Long Beach Press-Telegram, Cash told the press that he was going to profit from the killing by selling the movie rights to the incident: "I'm no idiot ... I'll get my money out of this one day." And went on to say "The simple fact remains I don't know this little girl ... I don't know people in Panama or Egypt who are killed every day, so I can't feel remorse for them. The only person I know is Jeremy Strohmeyer", and according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram Cash mentioned that he felt more sorry for Jeremy than for Sherrice because, after all, he had lost his best friend, and once again said he did not know the girl or her family, but still insisted that he did nothing wrong. Cash would constantly say to news reporters "What have I done?"
David Cash currently resides in North Redondo Beach California, and surfs the internet under the user name Cash1220.
