Our nightmare with PublishAmerica began in June 2009 when My husband signed a contract having publishamerica publish "Fighing Back The Long Road Home."

It looked as if school children had edited the book! when we read the proof for correction we found hundreds of errors that were not in our original manuscript, yet when we asked for correction we were told how it would cost us.

The book was released in June 2009 and when August royalties period ended they never even sent him a statement in regards to sales and royalties. When he contacted them stating he would file suit, and local and federal charges for fraud and internet fraud they wrote him telling him if he did so again they would contact our local authorities about our threats! which he explained to them to do as they pleased, that he was well within his legal rights.

I also let them publish my life story Damaged And Broken" Memoirs Of An Abused Child" which was released in NOV. 2009 as time arrived for the next ending of the royalties period in Feb. 2010 I recieved a statement  stating Damaged And Broken had sold one book! And No Royalties statement has ever arrived for Fighting Back The Long Road Home.

When He contacted them by phone and internet explaining he would have to file suit to end this nightmare of abuse by this rip off company, he never even recieved a response. yet they consistently attempt to sell us our own books.

My advice to any new or young publisher unless you are using them to just get a book out there? !!! NEVER ALLOW THEM TO PUBLISH A BOOK FOR YOU !!! They are a con artist !! RIP OFFS !! A SCAM!!! They are liars who care nothing about stealing the royalties of there authors. It's in my opinion that all of us who have been scammed by this corrupt publishing company should get together and file a class action suit against them. I advise all who are scammed by them to  file complaint's with the Maryland Attorney Generals office for theft and fraud. Also file a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office of your home state. Even file a complaint with the authorities and FBI office near you. The crimes they are commiting are Fraud,  Theft by deception, and internet fraud, possibly postal fraud since the USPS is used in there carrying out of there thefts.

What we want is the rights back to our books and to not deal with them anymore in the future. They are liars as we have people from around the country contacting us telling us they have bought said book yet we never recieve royalties from said sells. They are the most un-priffessional company of any type we have ever had any dealings with.

I reccomend going to rip off repoort or that an individul google them and see the see what they are getting into before having any contact with this publishing company!

They are criminals who legally should be prosecuted, for the crimes in which they are committing against innocent people. If any others would like to join a class action suit against them please feel free to contact me.
