Beware of the 15th st con-artis Kyle Sindlinger, and his wife Karmyn Sindlinger. We thought we could trust them because his family went to church. Go figure they are actually some really bad people. We kept hearing the same story on the street, after we moved in and signed the year lease. We were told that for some 'unknown' reason, everyone who lives here seems to move out around 3-6 months.

Come to find out, the house suffers from MASSIVE flooding whenever it rains or snows.As well as horrible leaking from pipes connected to the main shower. When Kyle was confronted with the flooding, he instantly denied any flooding whatsoever, even though he had admitted months earlier that the house had flooding when his family used to live here. We also informed him of the leaking pipes when he came over to do some "repairs". He did nothing to fix the leaking pipes and never did any repairs that he promised to do when we moved in.

We also had trouble with the smoke detectors going off at random in the middle of the night when we first moved in. We told him about the problem and asked him to fix it before we brought a new born into the home because we wanted working smoke detectors and we didn't want to have them waking our child up in the middle of the night. He told us to "just wipe them down" when we informed him that we had already done so he said "just wipe them down" and left it at that never addressing the actual problem.

Around 5 months into our stay, the fleas arrived. The fleas enter the house via a large vent attached to the basement wall (which is big enough for birds and rats, which there were rat and mice traps in the basement left from past renters) and other clearly open areas where foliage from outside was growing into the house. We did not contact him right away as every time we tried to contact him to fix something he wouldn't respond. We tried in vain to bomb the house ourselves and vacuum 2-3 times a day. Kyle made such bold claims such as "you don't want to seal up a house TOO MUCH, because that's how you GET fleas".

Kyle also loved to stop by at random, without giving 24 hour notice, as he was legally obligated to do so. He would come and bang on the door and when I would not answer, as I had insomnia and slept odd hours, he would call and text a until I responded.

He was even bold enough to say that he was going to take the lawn mower if we didnt cut the lawn,which we were unable to do so as me and my wife were in the hospital delivering our first child. My wife almost bled out during the delivery. He helped ruin the delivery of our child, and has turned our lives upside down since we met him.

The ironic part is that i busted my a*s and painted a large portion of his unfinished basement walls, cleaned behind the refrigerator and stove (which looked like it hadn't been cleaned back there since those appliances had been put in there), cleaned vents,washed  walls, and cleaned the carpets as we were planning on buying the home! When we received the home from Kyle it appeared that it hadn't been cleaned since the last people had left. He even gave us $200 of first months rent because of how bad of condition the house was in when we received it.

He also claimed the impossible, that "this house has never had one complaint." He also claimed that we were only the 3rd people to live in his house after his family, which is a lie. He admitted later that other people had lived here.

He also admitted that his family left the home when "we didn't have enough money to fix the problem." He cleverly never admitted the problem. Its sounds like kyle bought this home, had 'a problem' with the house, and instead of fixing the problem, he rented out his house, and made it everybody elses problem.

My wife was bit a little, my newborn daughter was bit, my cat had it the worst, and i was covered head to toe with itchy bites, that were, according to his lawyer, MY fault. They claimed that because we had a cat it was our fault even though our cat was strictly an indoor cat and had never been outside a day in our stay.

There is even evidence of past renters retaliating his b.s. Whoever rented the house before us, obviously let there dog defecate on the upstairs carpet, and left a bumper sticker in the basement that read "DOGGY DOO HAPPENS".

One fine day i had a revelation. How is kyle able to rent his house out in such unlivable conditions?Easy, Whoever lived here before must have left quietly. Not me!! I left a factual message warning the town of this mans lies. I wrote, in washable window paint, "For only $1000/month, you too can live with fleas and flooding! (Ask about the rent-to-own option!) Do not rent from Kyle Sindlinger." He and his lawyer claim that this is 'defamatory' and might bring claims against ME!

Our lease ended legally when he failed to eliminate the bugs from the house in 48 hours, after serving him with a written notice, as he ignored our pleas for help. He eventually had a bug man spray once which was ineffective. He stated that it was our fault that he was unable to get it taken care of in the 48 hours because my wife was at work and unable to answer the phone when the bug man called and didn't get the message until after 5pm when they were closed. We had asked him weeks previously and he stated that he was setting something up and nothing ever materialized from it until we served him with our notice.

We also served him a notice saying that he needed to weather proof the house, and fix the plumbing problems and gave him 7 days to do so. We heard nothing about this until the 7 days was almost up and he then sent a contractor and a plumber to come and check out the problems on day 7 after his time had expired. The plumber stated to me that he would have to make a hole in the wall to even begin to fix the plumbing problems and would have to come back and fix it on a later date.

Because he was unable to remedy any of the problems that we asked our lease was considered void making it possible to move into a better house where my family would not be bitten up by bugs or have to worry about flooding. In the letter his lawyer sent us they stated that the plumbing had been fixed during our stay and that it was only minor flooding. Now he claims we left illegally and still owe him rent. Even though when we discussed it with kyle he was in agreement with us and stated that he was "sorry to see us go."

Now that we have left the premise, kyle kept our security deposit, last months rent, and claims WE are to blame for the 'excessive pet smell." I dont know how my cat could have made the house smell like dog poo and wet dog. Even after using a carpet shampooer to clean the carpets twice during our stay.

Kyle Sindlinger and Karmyn Sindlinger LIED to the Judge on the Stand (and won)

Well, judgement day slowly approached. I served kyle with papers to go to court, and he instantly counter sued me for $10,000. At least the judge was fair and told the Sindlinger's lawyer that that wasn't allowed.  Somehow, kyle was successfully able to avoid all the hard questions on how me and my family were mistreated while living in his house. The judge didn't seem to care that our security deposit was kept on the grounds of pet smell, when the truth of the matter was my cat didn't create the dog poo smell. A previous tenant did. It was always present from the beginning, when kyle told me how much he hates dogs. I cant image why!

Kyle lied on the stand without even breaking a sweat, and the judge bought all of it. Kyle claimed that he had vacuumed out, replaced batteries, and cleaned the smoke alarms while we were away from the house, which was a lie. They remained in a box unused, broken, and void of batteries, during our entire stay, as the electricity would cause them to malfunction. They also claimed to be so frightened by an online ad talking about Abe Lincolns killer, that they were unable to keep the house clean for fear of their lives. wow.

They even admitted in court that they have made NO EFFORT to repair the house in any way as they don't have the money for it. The judge didn't care that I called out kyle for his lies. The judge seemed more concerned about his lunch break, and the other trials that were approaching than mine. Kyle also lied about the flooding. He lied about everything. I shouldn't have sued kyle. I should have sought revenge elsewhere. The justice system is a waist of time and money.

I wonder who did the most damage? Me or Kyle? Kyle won almost $500 by hiding behind a lawyer and lying in court. I think in the long run, I created more damage, as I told the truth and warned the public about this man's lies. The truth, at least, will remain online FOREVER. Kyle admitted in court that every month that his house sits vacant hes out $1,200. Every time I drive by that stupid house, I think of how much Kyle has lost when the town refuses to rent or buy from him. The truth is out now, even if the truth was never discussed in the court. I wonder who the public will believe more? The kid who had nothing to hide about what happened during our stay at 15th st, or the slumlord who desperately wants me to shut up, and to sell his house that only an idiot would buy.

The Sindlingers sure do lie a lot for a couple that claim to be 'God fearing' people.
