The Microcash client is well developed and installs easily on most Windows platforms, Linux Distros and Mac. The basic premise is that MicrosCash is a peer to peer money transfer system that works much like Bittorrent. It claims to be unstoppable, irreversible and can operate outside of any government control. The true nature of Microcash is botnet control, personal information and identity theft. It will also harvest Paypal and bank account information.
Microscash can be acquired by two methods, purchased with a credit card at the MicrosCash exchange or created using the CPU power of the host machine. The client is configured so than any one machine will never be profitable and "coins" must be purchased or traded for.
The whole money system is rouse to steal credit card and identity information as well make the host machine a zombie in a botnet. The client machine runs services background that monitor and record the user's activity and reports them back to a central server optimizing the time in which the host machine can be "enslaved".
Solidcoin relaunched as MicrosCash after coming under scrutiny of InterPol, Germany's Bundespolizei (BPOL) and the US DOJ. While funds can in fact be stored and transferred using MicroCash, the risk for identity theft and fraud are high as well as unknowingly taking part in criminal enterprise.
Microcash embeds deeply within the host operating making complete removal nearly impossible. Most machines infected with Microcash require a complete operating system reinstall losing most files from the previous state. Since Microcash doesn't deploy stealth methods or malware to install it is excluded from most malware and antivirus definitions. A user must install Microscash to be infected.

Common Sense

Unsubstantiated claims for or against Microcash should be ignored by all! The initial claim that Microcash is malware has no substance unless proof is offered. The subsequent rebuttals offer only anecdotal evidence of Microcash's trustability based on the source code release of Solidcoin.
It seems that this report has been filed frivolously by one group in an attempt to unjustly damage the reputation of another group. Since neither group is able to provide evidence to back their claims all above statements should be ignored by the intelligent reader!
Until solid proof of malefeasance is presented or the Microcash source code is released I respectfully request that readers boycott the ripoff report site as baseless rumour-mill.

Facts are clear...

Since the developers of this code refuse to release any version of the software involved for review by the proposed community that will be using it, including any potential businesses that might consider integrating it as a payment solution, and defense of it is an empty statement. The stolen intellectual property on which it is based uses intrusive malware, it is being developed by an individual with a long and documented history of using malware and stealing the intellectual property of others, and is being promoted exclusively by a cadre of shills.
This software has only the promise of being the next big disaster, and a massive security vulnerability for any system on which it is installed. Which would be exactly the condition of the three previous releases of this useless work, released under the overall name SolidCoin.

just to make this clear, and I quote here, "One of the hallmarks of scammers is their refusal to disclose their true identity."
interesting how the original "report" was filed by someone who did not want to disclose his true identity.

Scam?

I have been using SolidCoin since August 2011. I have never lost any money nor being cheated by anyone. It happened to me using bitcoin for a couple of times. SolidCoin and Microcash is legal project that does not steal, cheat or scam you. People using it can, just like they do at bitcoin. But by their actions you cannot make a definition of a system being a scam.
Moreover an argument against SolidCoin/Microcash developers anonymity means nothing. Bitcoin developers keep "low profile" as well. There is no need to go famous, yet.
Everyone who keeps saying SolidCoin is a scam is probably supporter of Bitcoin community and SHOULD remember SolidCoin evolved from Bitcoin. If one of the is a scam, so is the other. Haters hate competition, even when some of Bitcoin developers say it is a good thing to create forks of their project while others attack and destroy them. We all know how Luke-jr destroyed CC and Artforz premined coins at litecoin. Actually SolidCoin community revealed those actions to the people.
Check Microcash, make your own opinion. I can assure you, you won't loose any money or data with it.

Microcash is a Scam.
One of the hallmarks of scammers is their refusal to disclose their true identity. The developers of Microcash and Solidcoin goes to great lengths to remain anonymous. I suggest you research Solidcoin in detail and read this article.

Consumer Facts

This is highly libelous at best. I have been a user of this system for a long time and can share the following directly in opposition facts:
1) The original founder and ongoing primary developer is known as "RealSolid" not this "Coinhunter persona" and he is known to be from Australia, a country that this form of crime could easily see him be pursued for legal action.
2) The microcash version of this system is not released yet and is allegedly built on C# so unlikely to run on linux or mac OS yet until it can be ported to the Linux version of C# (unlikely to be available at launch)
3) In all my running of nearly every version of the Solidcoin production system and Microcash beta system, it has never installed and never was detected to be acting as a botnet, virus or malware... when in fact it runs very nicely and creates a very positive digital currency environment.
4) I have analyzed very exhaustively what runs on my system and there is no mysterious app collecting personal data with it, and no attempts to communicate that data through my firewalling etc.
5) The Interpol, BPOL, and US DOJ comments are laughable at best especially since the real reason for the rebranding was to intentionally demonstate the vast strides they are advancing in the cryptocurrency community and how much of the original Bitcoin code of which the afore mentioned accused software was still mostly using has been replaced for a better system.
6) All my removals of it simply involved a folder deletion, which I often did to load new versions, backing up only my digital wallet to USB leaving not a remnant on my system.
Long story short the report is blatant libelous material and should be seen only in that light. Written merely to slander the good name of a quality product. Thanks.

Identity stealing

1. Microcash used to be SolidCoin.
2. SolidCoin was a virtual currency same as bitcoin but with many differences.
3. Microcash starts as a brand new project.
4. It is not a scam, it does not install anything on your computer and it for certain does not steal any data from you.
5. The person who filled the report used the account named "Gavin".
6. http://bitcoin.org/ - Gavin is the lead developer of bitcoin project.
7. Doubtfully he registred here to write things not related to the reality.
8. The one who did, stole his identity - which is illegal.
9. As well as spreading missinformation about the legal, professional project.
I ask to remove this report.

Ok, needless to say that this "report" has been filed by some people within the Bitcoin-community,(of which microcash is a derived work by the way). No one has been found to be scammed by microcash yet. Please remove the complaint.
