605 Market, LLC advertised an opening for admin/clerical on snagajob.com for Jacksonville, Florida.  The address given, 6600 Fort Caroline Road, is the middle of an intersection.  The company is not registered with the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, appearing only as an LLC in Wilmington, Delaware as having one to four employees and annual income of less than $250,000.

The job responsibilities were posted as data entry and other clerical.  When I applied through snagajob.com, Kristian Ericksson, supposed HR Manager, decribed the duties as processing payments from clients that were to arrive by courier.  An attachment was sent with an email that is to be a W-4, but a company hiring sight unseen for someone to handle payments aroused my suspicion.  That was when I discovered the Jacksonville address did not exist, and no registry with the Chamber of Commerce.

I did not even open the supposed W-4, so all they got were full name, address, and phone number.

I saw tonight another job ad for this company, same position, same city, with a 32277 area code on simplyhired.com, and immediately reported the ad as a scam.  I'm filing this rip off report as there are several other sites with job ads from this company for various cities and I'd rather no one give up their SSN for a scam.

scamming in California now

AUTHOR: Pete - (USA)

I found the same scam on the Flakelist.  A lady in Modesto, CA received the same email I did when applying for what she thought was an office job.  The ads are appearing on thingamajob and other places.  I already sent over a warning to the site for Pennsylvania jobs about this scam, since they had an ad from this "company" running.

I need to include the fact that there was a contact phone number given.  The line rang and rang, no receptionist, no computer voicemail.  Since the description of the company provided by email by Kristian Erricksson stated "We serve more than 70 percent of Fortune magazines most admired list of companies. " I find it strange not even a computer answered.
