Xhoana Gjelaj D.M.D. Tarpon Springs overcharges for routine dental cleaning and is misleading on insurance coverage tarpon springs, Florida

 I asked Xhoana Gjelaj's receptionist wether they accepted my dental insurance and she said yes. I explained to her that my insurance covers dental cleaning and basic exrays 100%. She assured me that they take my insurance. I had the routine dental cleaning but no exrays since I have few teeth left in my mouth . It didn't make sense to do  exrays. Xhoana Gjelaj charged me $95. over what my insurance allows .She charges $215. for basic cleaning and in this case no exrays. She is the first dentist to charge more  than what my insurance allows.  

  I'm most aggravated by the fact that the receptionist told me they take my insurance which is very misleading. She should have said no but we will try and work with your insurance. I made it clear that I expected the dental services would be covered 100% .
