Tax Masters Brian Ellis Mis Representation, False advertising, Bait and Switch, SCAM, Internet

I spoke to Mr. Brian Ellis of Tax Masters about some tax issues I was ready to have resolved. I explained my situation to him. He gave me a price of $1,950.00 to have my issues resolved.

I explained to Mr. Brian Ellis that I am unemployed, I am borrowing the money to have the services done, and the price CAN NOT be more that the $1,950.00. He stated it would NOT be more than this price. 

I then borrowed a credit card from a family member to give a $500.00 deposit to get things started. After they recieved the deposit, Mr. Brian Ellis sends me a letter stating it will be an additional $1,600.00 on top of the original $1,950.00. 

I wrote a letter to them stating that I wish to cancel and need a refund as they were not honest with me and I was unable to come up with the extra money. They had no problem cancelling but with no refund.

We tried to reverse the charges on the credit card but they faught it with the credit card company and after 2 months, they recieved the $500.00. 

I recieved a letter, un-dated, 3 months after I cancelled stating I was not able to to recieve a refund.

I called them the day I recieved the letter and explained the situation to 5 different people as they kept bouncing me around.

I told them I want a copy of all the work they had done that they are charging me for and they told me they don't have to give me anything!
