Death Row Dogs Redlands Ranch Misrepresented a dog, lied about its status, defamed my character when I tried to resolve the situation, threatened me and my partner for standing up them Miami, Florida

I am a Private Investigator gathering information on Diana Peters and "Death Row Dog Rescue".  I would like to contact the person who wrote this Rip Off Report as I am investigating many more complaints such as this and we are desperately trying to stop Ms. Peters from continuing this SCAM.  I can be emailed at annmusso@comcast.net  Thank you.

i have read your report and i can see this lady really doesnt need to be rescuing dogs.  there are new ripoff rreports on her and her rescue. she seems to be doing the same thing now in oakland park florida to other people, she is threatening others on ripoff report wanting their personal info, i guess to send some of her cohorts to their place and do whatever to them. everyone needs to check the new reports on her . just search death row dog rescue and see what she is up to now.

We represent several non profit 501c charities that rescue dogs and puppies from death row at Animal Services in Miami.  Over 150 dogs and puppies are euthenized every single day, we have saved over 500 of these from certain death and have  found wonderful homes with outstanding results! 

We are also contacted constantly by owners of dogs who for various reasons, can no longer take care of thier dogs and are considering turning them into the shelter.  Many people do not know that if a dog is brought to Animal Services as an "owner surrender" they can and are usually euthenized that same day. 

We were contacted by a woman named Daisy who had a German Shephard she could no longer care for.  The dog had been confined to a small apartment and was not spayed, (which is a requirement for rescue groups).  Her shots were due in a few weeks and her records were somewhere in a storage unit.   

We had her come to our Rescue Ranch in the Redlands and we took photos of the dog for her and posted the dog, Allie on FaceBook.  We mentioned no price, only that the dog needed a home and the she needed a home.

We were then contacted by a lady named Angela Hise who informed us that she was losing her sight and needed a German Shephard puppy to train as a seeing eye dog.  She had seen the Facebook ad and Allie sounded perfect.  We gave Angela the telephone number to Daisy and the two of them spoke about the dog several times directly.  It was agreed that Angela would drive down to Miami and meet the dog and that if she decided to adopt her, she would sign an adoption spay/neuter contract and pay Daisy $100.   Daisy decided that the rehoming fee should be given to us to help save more dogs.

They drove down, loved the dog, signed the papers and everyone was happy.  We even had our dog behavior specialist come in on that day.  Knowing Allie had been couped up for so long we knew she needed to release some energy so she went on a thirty minute bike ride with Franco, before meeting her new family.  He also wanted to make the transition as smooth as possible.

At that time, they told us that they wanted more dogs... two in fact, although with Allie, this would be three, plus the cats, birds and I think a pot belly pig.  They lovingly called their home the "zoo" and later admitted to also caring for a friends three dogs when they travel. 

They filled out some paperwork and we said we would be in contact soon.  After careful consideration, and investigating further, we decided not to adopt any of our dogs to them.  We felt that her medical situation, the fact that they have so many other animals already and live in a small trailor with no yard on a fixed income was enough for us to decline the adoption. 

This caused an explosion... this man who had nothing to do with Allie or the adoption and according to Angela herself is only a helper, involved himself and started harrassing everyone here at the rescue.  We got hang up calls at all hours of the day and night.  The volunteers working here and registered on Facebook got very frightened and even quit because of the threatening letters sent to them.  We have pages and pages of him ranting and raving and setting a deadline of Saturday noon for his long list of demands to be answered or else!  He wanted us to pay for Allies spay, flea bath, all shots and papers or he would flag all our ads on Craigslist, which he did and still does.  He has defamed and slandered our good cause, posting lies saying that we are forced to move our operation because of unsanitary conditions, fraud, and so many other things too numerous to list. 

The Rescue Ranch is a large home my mother rents to be able to save as many dogs as we can. We have had the city out here too many times to count.  The only tickets we were ever given is for having too many dogs and they have commented how clean and happy all the dogs here are.  They listen to classical  music, we have a dog behavior specialist come in three or four times a week, they run in a safe fenced yard, are given the best food money can buy and are socialized with other dogs, big and small to help aide in their adoption.  We are moving to unincorporated Broward County so we can save even more dogs, he says we are being forced to move which is another lie.  We can stay in Dade County if we keep our large dogs numbered to eight.  We want to save more than that and Broward allows that.  We are so dedicated that we are not only moving our operation, we subsidize the rescue group with our antique business, we lose an average of $1800 a month just to keep this place going!

All we have ever wanted was to help the dogs, Randy Wyatt has been harrassing, posting lies and it has cost lives of innocent dogs in the process.  We have ignored his letters, wanting only to speak to Angela Hise herself, since she was the only one filling out the adoption form and the only one to speak directly with Allies' owner.  This has only made him more irate and irrational accusing us of going behind his back to speak to Angela privately.  He is insulted because we turned him down for adoption and according to him has made our shelter his prime focus... He is going to take us down and HARD (thats one of many quotes).

Daisy the  owner of the dog will verify all this.  We have never posted a single rebuttle on craigslist, he has posted over a dozen... we were hoping this whole thing would blow over so we could put our energy into more productive things like saving the life of a dog!  Noone in her area would adopt to her, Animal Services turned her down for the same reasons we did and according to her, the cheapest German Shephard in her area was over $500.00. 

No good deed goes unpunished they say...  Daisy has agreed to give them some additional paperwork which I thought would satisfy him, and then I received this notice that he is going to post us on Ripoff Report.  He is taking a huge amount of pleasure in this and it is very disturbing...  There is more to this, he also claims that his niece (although she denies she is for some reason) was also declined adoption from us and we ignored her as she was reaching out to us from her hospital bed in a mental ward after slitting her wrists in a suicide attempt. That we somehow could have helped her if we had adopted her a puppy. Hmmmm.

I have a feeling this is not the end of this story, though I certainly hope it is.  We have a page on Facebook and we have so many happy endings, this will not overshadow any of that.  We have saved  many lives and made  many happy families complete,  this will only make us stronger and more determined than ever that we made the right decision to not adopt any of our dogs to this family.  I just hope they give Allie the good home she deserves and he puts his own energy into something productive other than trying to shut down a 62 year grandmothers dream of saving dogs and puppies from certain death.  If he truly is a dog lover, he should love dogs more than he hates Diana and her methods of adopting.
