I have a very good friend that has been explaining the underhanded things that Stevens - Henager Collage is doing to the international students that their Salt Lake Campus.

These people are regularly threatened to remove their student visa status if they are late on a monthly payment of over $1,300 dollars.

They hold this threat of pulling their status every time this happens, and never offer them any assistance, in my eyes this is deplorable of them to do.

This is only done to the international students, as they are the only ones that have to hold a student visa, I think that this needs to be looked in to and dealt with.

Also they charge the international students double the tuition that they charge students from this country.

Impossible

It is impossible for a college or university to revoke a student visa due to financial reasons. Stevens-Henager College (SHC) is certainly aware of this as F-1 students have been admitted there for several years. This sounds more like a student unwilling to pay their tuition and blaming the College. SHC is certainly within its rights to terminate any student, domestic or foreign, if they are not meeting their financial obligations.

Before recieving a student visa, a student has to prove to a U.S. Embassy and the State Department that they have enough funds to not only pay for tuition but the cost of living while studying in the U.S. Every college and university in the U.S. expects all students to pay for tuition or be dismissed from the school. If a foreign student at SHC is dismissed due to financial reasons the student can apply to another university and their I-20 would be transferred.

SHC does not charge foreign or international students double that of domestic. The confusion may be that most foreign students are master's students (different pricing) and not undergraduate and that foreign students are not eligible for Federal Title for Student Aid.

I work there.    It's $39,400 for the Assoc.  And roughly $70,000 for the Bachelors.  Now this is online, but I'm fairly sure campus is the same (also this is the current cost at the time of the posting...)  So actually the tuition per Month is about $1970 (39,400 divided by 20 months).  So your friend isn't being charged extra.
