I finally received the book I ordered.  I'm pretty sure it was a direct result of this complaint, so thank you Ripoff Report.  Consider this complaint resolved.  Thanks!

Seven months later, in September of 2008, the stock market crashed. On September 29, 2008, the Dow Jones lost a record 777 points in one full day of trading. Have a great day!

I also found another Report: #1018399, and the same thing happened to that person as well.  He also did not receive a book and got the runaround from Mr. Michael Komadina.  Class action lawsuit anyone?

P.S. I believe that exposing your Ripoff Report on the worldwide web was a good idea. You can stay at this site and type in 284134 and click on Ripoff Report #284134 and read what is posted in Consumer Comment #1 regarding "exposure". Ten months after that consumer comment was posted, Lehman Brothers collapsed, the stock market crashed, and the banking system in the USA melted down. Several other large corporations were also on the verge of collapsing including General Motors, Chrysler, AIG, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.

Conclusion: The Harvard Business Professor was correct.

So I received a private email from the author, Michael Komadina.  He once again insisted he sent two books.  I reminded him I haven't received a single book.  The first time he supposedly sent it, he said there was a "huge run" on the book and it was "out of stock".  And I reminded him that the second time, the package never left the Hazelwood, MO post office despite having my correct address.  I told him that although he looked like Houdini (and I actually meant Dante, my mistake) I wasn't falling for his tricks!  I told him that if he didn't refund my money, I would contact any business connections he had and let them know what kind of person he is.  This is the response I received:

"Don't threaten me, a**hole.  I strongly suggest you rethink your approach.  Your book was shipped to you twice. Threaten me again and you're going to have a much bigger problem."

So since it appears he won't return my money and intends to physically harm me, my next step is to contact all media outlets in his area, including newspapers, radio and television.  I will contact any consumer advocates I can find. I will contact every trucking association, brokers association, truck brokers and trucking companies I can find and send them copies of all emails I have since this whole situation began.  Trucking professionals should not get their advise from someone who operates their business like this!

In addition, I know his next move will be to try and bully me with some kind of libel accusation.  I'm an ex-cop and trained paralegal so I'm fully aware of libel, and I know that to successfully pursue a libel claim, the published statements must be false.  Truth is an absolute defense to libel, and he would need to produce proof of delivery and I have all emails between us, so that's a dead-end for him.  But I've dealt with bullies before so I'm prepared.

We shipped two books to Shawn H of Victorville, CA, both with tracking numbers. He kept pushing us for a digital or word doc copy of the book for some reason. We refused of course and we refuse to ship any more copies of our book to him. He paid for one six months ago and received two. We refuse to ship any more books or refund his money. We ship all of our books to our customers and do our best to resolve any complaints or issues. I'm not sure of his motive with this complaint. Have a good day.
